Places to see in ( Bingen am Rhein - Germany )
Places to see in ( Bingen am Rhein - Germany )
Bingen am Rhein is a town in the Mainz-Bingen district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
Bingen is a city in the Rhineland-Palatinate region of Germany at the southern end of the Middle Rhine Valley (Mittelrheintal), located at the junction of the Rhine and the Nahe. It came into being as a strategically important to the Romans.
For bike riders, Bingen is the starting point of the Radweg Nahe, a 37 mile posted bike route that follows the Nahe River southwest to the town of Kirn. Bingen is also the site of an eleven-day festival every September, when the city hosts the Winzerfest.
The settlement's original name was Bingium, a Celtic word that may have meant hole in the rock, a description of the shoal behind the Mäuseturm, known as the Binger Loch. Bingen was the starting point for the Via Ausonia, a Roman military road that linked the town with Trier. Bingen is well known for, among other things, the story about the Mouse Tower, in which allegedly the Bishop of Mainz Hatto was eaten by mice.

Germany - Rhine River - Rudesheim - Bingen in 4K
Loreley Valley, Germany
My video impressions from a Middle Rhine Valley (Loreley Valley) Boat Cruise from Rüdesheim to Sankt Goar, Germany.
According to Rhine fairytale in Heinrich Heine poem Die Lorelei Loreley is a siren who, sitting on the cliff above the Rhine and combing her golden hair, unwittingly distracted shipmen with her beauty and song, causing them to crash on the rocks. Middle Rhine Valley (Loreley Valley) is added to the UNESCO World Heritage list.

St Goar and Rudesheim: The Rhein Germany
Produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 16, Go Pro Hero Session 5, and Google Earth Pro... This is the second part of our Rhein Tour. We visit St Goar on the Rhein and climb to the largest fortress between Mainz and Koblenz on the Rhein, Rheinfells. We cross the Rhein in a car ferry and head into Germany's Riesling wine country, Rudesheim. Here we take the gondola to Niederwald and to the massive German empire monument, Niederwalddenkmal, constructed in 1871, before having lunch in the old city and heading to the public pool Freibad Eltville.
Rhine River Cruise - Kaub to Rüdesheim am Rhein, Germany
The area covered is from the area of Kaub to Rüdesheim am Rhein. It has been an absolute delight to do this 6 hour cruise of the area known as Upper Middle Valley aka Rhine Gorge. It began for us in Koblenz and it was one wonderful view after another, of charming towns and fascinating castles up on the hills. The cruise is relaxing and leisurely all the way, with a friendly staff on board. Food is good, as are refreshments. If it gets to chilly outside, the inside is very cozy and the views are great from there as well.
The song you hear is Easy Day by Kevin McLeod and is from the free You Tube Music Library.

Rhine River Cruise - Koblenz to Boppard, Germany
The area covered is from the city of Koblenz, to the resort town of Boppard. No hurry here, the cruise is leisurely and relaxing. The day began a bit chilly and overcast but certainly did not dampen it whatsoever - after about an hour or so, the sun came out and things got warmer. Parts 2, 3 and 4 of this series, to follow.
As is customary, Ed does the video filming & narration. I do the still photos, add the music and edit it all to upload here. The song you hear is Calm by Silent Partner and is from the free You Tube Music Library. Hope you'll check out the other parts as well.

ASSMANNSHAUSEN GERMANY ON THE RHINE
In 1108 gave Archbishop of Mainz Ruthard which lies on the upper monastery near Dissibodenberg a vineyard in the district Hazem Anne Husen. This occurs Assmannshausen in history, and that deed is to some extent his birth certificate.
Until about the year 1500, the village is called in all documents Hazem Anne Husen, then disappear, the H and it remains our familiar Assmannshausen.
