位於台北市大同區的日星鑄字行，是目前全台碩果僅存的活版印刷鑄字工廠。店主張介冠在業界已打滾超過五十年，見證了台灣活版印刷的興衰與轉型。2019年冬季號《TAIPEI》中，張師傅將暢談日星與台北的共同記憶，分享他心中保存傳統繁體中文字的使命與如何傳承傳統工藝的溫度。

Ri Xing Type Foundry: Fresh Impressions of a Fading Legacy Located down a quiet alley in the Datong District, Ri Xing Type Foundry is the last factory producing lead characters for letterpress printing left standing in Taipei. The owner, Zhang Jieguan (張介冠), has been working in the foundry for more than 50 years, witnessing both the peak and decline of the industry. In the Winter volume, TAIPEI sat down with Master Zhang to talk about his memories of the business and his journey of preserving traditional Chinese characters while passing on a fading legacy.

日星鋳字行　台北最後の活版印刷
台北の大同区にある日星鋳字行は、現在台湾に唯一現存している活版印刷に使う活字を製造している工場です。店長である張介冠さんはこの業界に50年以上携わり、台湾の活版印刷の盛衰と変遷を見てきました。今季のTAIPEIでは張介冠さんへインタビューを行い、活字工場の歩みと台北の変遷、伝統的な中国語繁体字の活字を後世に残すという張さんの使命と情熱についてお話を伺いました。
