Dornier Wine Estate - Stellenbosch - South Africa
Winery:
Dornier's loft-style winery is a new attraction in the Cape Winelands. With its curved roof and the use of face brick and reflecting materials, the building blends creatively into the dramatic scenery of Stellenbosch Mountain. The tasting room is a lookout post to the surrounding forest, vineyards, fynbos and mountains. The style of the winery is a visual translation of our wines -- elegant, clear yet complex and distinctly unique.

Australian Broke NSW Bush Fire fighting by air 20 Oct 12
Bush Fires too close!!!!!
The fire brigade have been on our farm since Saturday morning 20th Oct and four days later were still being water bombing overhead. Thank God the house & animals are safe!!!!!
As many as 8 water bombing choppers filled massive water buckets from our neighbours' billabong opposite our front gate, & flew loops over the home and farm. With so many helicopters circling overhead, the house & windows constantly vibrated in rhythm with the pulsating rota wash. Sadly the billabong has nearly vanished due to the huge volume of water being pumped and bucketed onto the persistent fires.
Build an AWESOME bridge - Realistic Scenery Volume 10
If you’re looking for inspiration to build and design a bridge for your model railroad or for a scenery diorama then you’ve found the right video. In this tutorial I take you through every step of the process to create an awesome realistic looking model diorama or a scene that you could incorporate in to a model railway layout possible even a wargaming terrain piece.
The model is built to HO scale which is 1:87th scale however the same techniques could be used for N scale right through to O scale and larger.
The intro shows my favorite train! A Bendigo Rail Models P-Class that I’ve used numerous times and a new set of carriages from Auscision both of which are available from AustralianModeller.com.au
P-Class:
Carriages:
Also if you want more specific details about what measurements I used for this bridge and all the types of scale lumber I used you can find all that information here at boulder creek railroad:
A little story about the diorama:
There were a couple of things about this diorama that I would change in the future, the first being the color of the bridge.
This leads back to good lighting when building and painting models, the lighting I was using at the time of painting the bridge gave a false impression that it was more grey than it actually was, so at some stage over the next month or so I may repaint the bridge by adding a coat of grey over the top.
Secondly I would have liked to make the diorama longer, that way I would have been able to get better shots looking along the track whilst filming the run bys. This is not a major issue but just something I would likely improve upon on the next diorama.
I hope you enjoyed watching and managed to pick up a tip or two.

The Angel of Terror
Edgar WALLACE
When this was written, literary traditions still decreed beauty to be the outward sign of inner saintliness, whereas evil characters tended to be “ugly as sin.” Jean Briggerland defies these expectations by being every bit as angelically beautiful as she is sociopathic. So lovely that all around her are blinded to her guilt no matter how blatant her crimes, only Jack Glover, best friend and lawyer of her most recent victim, is aware of her true nature. Can he stop her crime spree and bring her to justice before she murders her way to wealth and happiness? He really, really shouldn’t count on it. Despite the book’s outrageously implausible plot, it nevertheless manages to keep one in suspense from first page to last. Advisory: Antiquated attitudes and occasional profanity will add unintentional humor to the charms of the story for some listeners but might offend others. (Summary by Lee Elliot)
