Wiener Riesenrad - Prater, Wien
Riesenrad, Prater Wien/Vienna.
Riesenrad is the symbol of Wien/Vienna. One ride takes around 15 min. The wheel has also luxus and restaurant cars. I think that Riesenrad is one of the must see things in Wien/Vienna.

Riesenrad (jättiläisenpyörä) Prater-huvipuistossa on Wienin symboli.

Vienna In Your Pocket - Prater Riesenrad
Vienna In Your Pocket editor Stefan Bauer explores the Prater. A section of the larger green space that makes up Vienna's Prater, the so-called Wurstelprater is essentially a big, year-round carnival and amusement park in the city's second district. Built in the late 19th century, the park today features various rides, bumper cars, carousels, roller coasters and much more. More than 250 different attractions in fact, as well as a wide selection of bars, beer gardens and eateries. Entrance is free, but each attraction has its own fixed price. Open daily 10:00 -- 01:00; metro U1 Praterstern or U2 Messegelände.
The most recognizable attraction of the Wurstelprater is undoubtedly the iconic Riesenrad, or Ferris wheel at the park's entrance. Erected in 1897 to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Emperor Franz Joseph, it ranks among the world's oldest and largest Ferris wheels, reaching a height of 64.75 meters. The Riesenrad gained international fame through the 1949 classic film, The Third Man when one of the cabins was the scene of a pivotal argument between Orson Welles and Joseph Cotton. A visit to Vienna can hardly be complete without a ride on this historic giant and the breathtaking views from the top.
