View from Rifle Arch
Not the easiest hike because many of the rocks came loose in the silty soil, but the constant sliding down and having to pick a new path up was rewarded with this view. Worth the struggle!

Rifle Mountain Park - Ice Caves
Winter is a great time to visit Rifle Mountain Park and the top attraction for visitors are the seasonal ice caves that form every winter. These beautiful caves can be found in the Koper Trail area of the park. The caves begin to form in late fall and usually can be explored until early spring. The best time of year to see them is in the coldest part of the winter.
Rifle Mountain Park is located at 13885 County Road 217, at the end of Highway 325, north of the Rifle Falls Fish Hatchery. Rifle Mountain Park is a breathtaking canyon of limestone cliffs known for its world class rock and ice climbing opportunities. It consists of 250 bolted climbing routes and also offers primitive camp sites and hiking trails. Once inside Rifle Mountain Park, visitors will find a Community House that is an ideal location for seasonal weddings, reunions and large group gatherings. The rustic structure includes a group area and horse shoe pits. Visitors are also able to access the Flat Tops from Rifle Mountain Park via a four wheel drive road. Rifle Mountain Park is not a State Park and visitors are required to purchase a day pass or annual pass. Camping fees are at an additional cost and campsites are on a first come, first served basis.
