Tiberius Bridge - is a Roman bridge in Rimini, Italy.
Construction work started during Augustus' reign and was finished under his successor Tiberius in 20 AD.
The bridge was the only crossing of the Marecchia not destroyed by the retreating German army during the Battle of Rimini and is said to have resisted all attempts at destruction, including the ignition failure of explosive charges.

It is located on the Adriatic Sea, on the coast between the rivers Marecchia (the ancient Ariminus) and Ausa (ancient Aprusa). The first bathing establishment opened in 1843. An art city with ancient Roman and Renaissance monuments, Rimini is the hometown of the famous film director Federico Fellini as well.
Founded by the Romans in 268 BC, throughout their period of rule Rimini was a key communications link between the north and south of the peninsula, and on its soil Roman emperors erected monuments like the Arch of Augustus and the Tiberius Bridge, while during the Renaissance, the city benefited from the court of the House of Malatesta, which hosted artists like Leonardo da Vinci and produced works such as the Tempio Malatestiano.
In the 19th century, Rimini was one of the most active cities in the revolutionary front, hosting many of the movements aimed at Italian unification. In the course of World War II, the city was the scene of clashes and bombings, but also of a fierce partisan resistance that earned it the honor of a gold medal for civic valor. Finally, in recent years it has become one of the most important sites for trade fairs and conferences in Italy.
The total approximate population of the Rimini urban area is 225,000 and the provincial population is 330,000.

Come il Grand Hotel Rimini, da un secolo simbolo di un'arte del vivere tutta italiana.
Spirito quindi, ma anche carne. Cultura e bellezza, certo, ma anche buon cibo e danze fino a tarda notte.
Importanti artisti e registi intuirono perfettamente quell'atmosfera di magia, di eccitazione profonda dei sensi che pervade i locali del Grand Hotel: non a caso l'hotel è muto protagonista, come scenario, di alcuni famosi film.
Nulla di che stupirsi: con le sue duecento camere, i giardini esotici, le ampie terrazze e l'imponente facciata rosa in stile Liberty, il Grand Hotel Rimini nacque adulto, il carattere già formato.
Fin dalla sua inaugurazione, nel luglio del 1908, si impose come la più importante attrazione del Mediterraneo, meta di vacanza per le più celebri personalità dell'epoca. Nè l'incendio che devastò la struttura nel 1920, nè i bombardamenti subiti durante la seconda guerra mondiale furono in grado di oscurare la sua fama. Anzi, le vicissitudini della storia e i frequenti restauri lo hanno reso ogni volta più bello, tanto che nel 1994 l'intero edificio è stato dichiarato monumento nazionale e posto sotto la protezione della Sovrintendenza delle Belle Arti.
Dal dicembre dello scorso anno il Grand Hotel Rimini è entrato a far parte del Gruppo Select Hotels, di proprietà della famiglia Batani: scelta di prestigio, nella continuità tra passato e futuro che contraddistingue la vera classe.

Le tappe della storia del Grand Hotel Rimini
Il Grand Hotel Rimini, commissionato all'architetto sudamericano Paolo Somazzi dalla Società Milanese Alberghi, Ristoranti e Affini, fu inaugurato ufficialmente il 1° Luglio 1908.
Nel luglio 1920 un incendio distrusse le due cupole ornamentali che sovrastavano il tetto, mai più ripristinate e, in seguito ai gravi danni subiti durante il secondo conflitto mondiale, negli Anni '50 l'edificio fu oggetto di rilevanti restauri.
Federico Fellini ha amato il Grand Hotel fin da bambino, tanto da volerlo immortalare in numerosi suoi film facendolo assurgere alla fama mondiale: si ricordi in particolare Amarcord in cui le atmosfere inimitabili e suggestive del Grand Hotel fanno da sfondo ad alcune delle scene più significative.
Ancora oggi le camere conservano gli arredi francesi e veneziani del XVIII secolo, il parquet e i lampadari veneziani dell’arredamento originale mentre nelle sale ristorante gli arredi, i dipinti e le luci rievocano la suggestiva atmosfera del passato.
Nel 1994 il Grand Hotel Rimini è stato dichiarato monumento nazionale vincolato dalla Sovrintendenza alle Belle Arti.
Nel 1992 a fianco del Grand Hotel Rimini è stato inaugurato il Centro Congressi, una moderna struttura dove, durante tutto l'anno, hanno luogo incontri ed eventi a livello nazionale ed internazionale.

We work on, tune, restore and customise everything from bog standard scooters such as the white SX200 ridden by Marco, through to madly tuned machines such as the turquoise coloured Lambretta GP Micky is riding, that has a plug 'n' play Casa Performance 47bhp motor fitted, easily capable of over 100mph. The film was shot and edited by Adam Urquhart (of 'Adam Urquhart Media') and Paul Calder of Scotia, both of whom we owe a massive thankyou.
