RINKOKAKU, es un pabellón de madera de estilo japonés construido en el año 17 de la Era Meiji ( 1,884). Consta de tres partes: el edificio principal ( Honkan) el edificio anexo (Bekkan) y el salón de té (chashitsu).
Antiguamente fue usado como alojamiento de personas honorables y durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial provisionalmente funcionó como Oficina Municipal.
En 1,986 fue declarada Patrimonio Cultural de la Prefectura de Gunma.

Maebashi Rinkokaku 前橋 臨江閣 4k
The Rinkokaku structure consists of the three sections; the main building is sukiya-style used for tea-ceremony, the annex has the shoin-style, which was first used in the 16th century as Japanese residential architecture, and the tea-ceremony room that has the iriomoya-style with the characteristic form of the roof. The main building was constructed as a royal guesthouse, and Meiji Emperor and the royal family stayed here when they visited Gunma. The annex was also built as the guesthouse in 1910 and has a big hall with a stage.

Estuvimos en Takasaki, Gunma visitando a Kannonsama,la deidad de la misericordia.
En la explicación del video cometí un error con respecto al Daruma, lo que en realidad traté de explicar es que cuando lo compras o te lo regalan están sus ojos sin pintar, entonces primero te fijas un objetivo y pintas un ojo, cuando se te cumple la meta trazada ya puedes pintar el otro ojo... este muñeco tiene la capacidad de mantenerse siempre en pie implicando los valores de la perseverancia, determinación y éxito.

前橋歴史物語「臨江閣」
県庁にほど近い場所にある「臨江閣」は、第二期群馬県の初代県令であった楫取素彦の提言で建てられた建物で、本館、別館、茶室からなる近代和風の木造建築物です。
平成29年9月に完了した改修工事により、建築当時の風情が蘇りました。

Dream Odyssey 2019
My workplace, COACT Associates in Toledo, Ohio, hosts an essay contest every year called the Dream Odyssey. Employees who have at least two years tenure with the company are invited to submit an essay of 500 words or less to describe their Dream Odyssey. The essays are due at our yearly Thanksgiving Meeting and can be about anything such as a self-learning experience, trip with their family or kids, personal vacation, or anything else of the like. The essays are sent off to three independent judges to read and rank based on their favorites. The judges are not familiar with anyone who works at COACT and there are no identifying marks on the essays except for the last few digits of our drivers license number on the outside of the envelope. The winning essay is given to our company president, Mark Frasco, and he pulls it out of his jacket pocket at our company Christmas party and reads it out loud. It's the first time that anyone other than the person who wrote it and the judges have read or heard it and it's a typically very emotional event. The essay winner gets up to $6,000 towards their Dream Odyssey and an extra week of PTO.
For my Dream Odyssey, I wrote about my mother, Marcia Voss. She had a very rare blood disease several years ago known as Light Chain Deposit disease. She was only one of 50 people in the WORLD known to have had this. It's sort of like a Leukemia. She had several seizures in front of me one day. We rushed her to the hospital and she was in very bad shape. Her kidneys began shutting down and she was quite close to death. Thankfully, a local doctor with the Toledo Clinic had seen one other patient with this disorder before and he referred my mother to the Cleveland Clinic for treatment. They gave her some low dosages of chemo and she lost her hair. Eventually, they did a controversial and experimental stem cell transplant on her. Lo' and behold that transplant basically hit the reset switch on her immune system and her body bounced back. Today, she's in magnificent health as if nothing was ever wrong, and I am forever grateful to all of the doctors and nurses who had a hand in giving her world-class care.
My dream odyssey is to give mom the biggest present of her lifetime. For the past several years, she has asked me to find travel deals to Easter Island - one of the most remote places on Earth known for their “Moai” stone head statues. Mom says it looks like “Heaven on Earth”. She has always loved foreign cultures and everything art. She also made a vow after her sickness that she will see and do what she can in life while she’s still here. I want to finally go to the end of the Earth with mom because she has always gone to the end of the Earth for me.
So here is the video recap from our 2019 Dream Odyssey. Mom and I went to Quito Ecuador, Santiago Chile, and Easter Island. It was truly the trip of a lifetime and we are are so thankful to COACT for enabling us to experience this!
