In this video we go bamboo River Rafting on Rio Grande.
River Rafting:
As much as it is very uneventful, it is super fun. The guide/captain will take you down the river making it look super easy while you are relaxing and taking in the nature. Then he will offer you (Tom Sawyer style) to try piloting the raft. It is quite challenging, but a great deal of fun.
Getting there:
Located near Port Antonio, Portland Parish. As you are driving on A4 and you pass over the river you will see the rafts under the bridge and quite a few Raft Captains will wave you down. When I say Captains, I mean it. They have the license to operate the raft granted by the government. From there you will have two options, the shorter and the longer route. We have done both and the longer 4 hr one is well worth the time and money. Watch the video for shorter run here: Once you are there you can arrange transportation to the start of the route with the guides for a very reasonable price.
Price: Well...it is, as with most things in Jamaica, negotiable. But be prepared to pay $60 US per raft for the shorter 2 hr run, and $80 US for the 4 hr one.

Day 123
The Frequency of Love is the most powerful creative force there is. What does your love look like? How does it move? What does it feel like? How, does it replenish itself? Wake up with me on @smilejamtvj Today

My love, in its purest form looks and feels like Fire. I believe it can be characterized by empowerment.
The light it emits can either light the way or burn.
My job as it’s wielder is to be mindful of this.
I used to fear burning myself by giving too freely,
but now I know each scar is a lesson to be learned from, not to dim my shine.
•
In its highest form, I believe love is Balance of all the elements that make you most dynamically you.
Your own unique expression of source.
When you begin your journey to your highest self you will find it uncomfortable and scary to confront the other pieces of this love, but the fear is not an indicator that you should stop, merely that you should take a beat to consider being present and aware enough to ask why you feel the way you do.
When we can Shine light on our fears, we can also watch them disappear.
The more you understand your fears, the more mindful you can become of them.
The more patient you become, the better you will be at finding your process to overcome and move past your fears so that you continue to shine your light as you are meant, and not as you have been allowed.
