We visit the Bay of Risan and some very well preserved Roman Mosaics. We take an interesting bus ride to get some parts for the engine and explore a deserted island with an abandoned Club Med.

Villa for sale, Risan, exclusive property
The villa has 798sqm and it is situated on the coast of Boka Bay in Montenegro, near the beautiful beaches. Risan is the oldest urban center in the inner part of the Bay of Kotor . The villa is situated 2km from Perast , Kotor 17km and 75km from Dubrovnik . In the center of the village are the remains of a Roman villa urban, with floor mosaics known as the Roman Mosaics. The villa was probably built in the second century AD. The mosaics include geometric and floral motifs, as well as an extremely rare show of ancient god of sleep Hipnosa. Episode 7 - The Ladder of Kotor, Budva, Bar and leaving Montenegro
Not sure what happened to the first upload but all fixed now.
It's raining again! But using the fresh water in the dingy I managed to do the laundry.
We walked the ladder of Kotor 12.8km's and an assent of 940 meters, it was described as a never ending set of demoralizing switchbacks and I can concur that description is correct. But the sunny side was the party atmosphere on the descent at the little house where some kind of white liquor was being freely shared among those who stopped.
We moved onto Risan taking us past Our lady of the Rocks. Risan we visited 6th century Roman mosaics inspiring the boys to create there own from stones on the beach.
Leaving the Bay of Kotor we headed down the coast to Budva then onto Bar. Finally we say goodbye to Montenegro and dolphins escort our departure.

The 1979 Montenegro earthquake occurred on 15 April at 06:19 UTC with a moment magnitude of 6.9 and a maximum Mercalli intensity of X (Extreme). It was the most devastating earthquake on the territory of present-day Montenegro, then part of SFR Yugoslavia, and was mostly felt along the Montenegrin and Albanian coastline. It was also felt in other parts of the country (in Podgorica with intensity of VII, in Sarajevo and Skopje V-VI, in Belgrade IV, in Zagreb and Ljubljana III-IV) and was followed by more than 90 aftershocks stronger than 4.0 on Richter scale.

The interior of the cathedral was decorated with mural frescos by Greek Masters with 14th century. Of these frescos wich formerly recovered all the interior of the church, there remain today nothing any more but some traces put at the day, in the apse. On the right on the main entrance, one can see the sarcophagus
of Andrea Saracenis, wich built the first church St. Triphon, and his wife Maria. A staircases lead to a small
vault of the 14th. century decorated of white marble.
