Sorry to shatter the illusion, but that expensive, bottled kombucha iced tea you’ve been drinking isn’t anything close to the authentic stuff—and, believe us, you’re missing out. Come along as we travel to Japan’s Rishiri Island and meet Chiharu Hirakawa, a shop owner and master of creating the real-deal drink. Located off the coast of Hokkaido, the remote island is famous for its locally-harvested kombu seaweed. Hirakawa uses the kombu, after it has been dried and powdered, to create traditional kombucha tea.

In today’s VLOG, Leaving the lakehouse, head into potential rain west towards the west coast. Some nature, interesting birds, deer, and skat on the side of the road. Talk about bike sounds (brakes, rhollof, clicking), and ride an awesome downhill, kept the rain at bay mostly. ran into an AMAZING bike hotel on the coast.

Footprint the north most point in Japan. It was 19 hours Train journey Tokyo to wakkanai. I start the journey morning 5:00 and arrived the destination at 24:00. It was a memorable solo journey . Faced snow storm , uncertain midnight , unknown place......The happiest moment was flying the motherland flag the north most point in japan at Cape soya, wakkanai .
