Time Lapse Clouds - Mt Pleasant - Lancaster Ohio
I'm not completely happy with how this turned out. The sun was in front of me so it makes the city kind of dark, and then the clouds decided to go sideways instead of coming at me or going away from me. :-) But yeah, this was over 2hrs of sitting on the face of Mt Pleasant at Rising Park in Lancaster Ohio. I didn't go to the tip top of the hill though, so I could just sit and read and not be bothered while waiting for this video to get enough frames. It's one frame every 3 seconds, running at 30fps

In honor of Donavin Woodmansee - Planting of an American Chestnut
In honor of Donavin Woodmansee, an American Chestnut tree was planted on March 4, 2011 in Seneca Gardens near the corner of Trevilian Way and Pee Wee Reese Road in Louisville, Kentucky. Seneca Gardens Arborist, Michael Hayman, nurtured the tree from infancy and is seen here in this video planting the tree and speaking about the tree's significance.
This tree will grow at a rate of two to three feet per year and is part of an overall effort to reintroduce the beautiful American Chestnut to the Seneca and Cherokee park systems.
The American Chestnut was chosen to symbolically represent the life of Donavin Woodmansee; an upright man of integrity who loved people and had a positive impact wherever he went.
Donavin Woodmansee, 94, formerly of Reesville, died Sunday, May 30, 2010.
He married Lois Lucille Jackson on Sept. 3, 1939, and they were inseparable throughout their 60 years of marriage.
He was born May 29, 1916 on the family farm, Hornbeam Road, Sabina, Ohio, a son of John Orville and Laura Luttrell Woodmansee.
He was a husband and father, sportsman, community leader and businessman widely known for his honesty, industry, generosity and sense of humor.
He was a 1934 graduate of Wayne Township High School. In 1933, his junior year, he drove a school bus, and upon completion of his route each day, ran the four miles back to school for basketball practice, then home again. That year he also played cornet with the Wayne Township School Band at the Chicago World's Fair. As a vocational agriculture student he won third place in beef cattle judging at the Ohio State Fair.
After graduation he worked at Master Feed Mill in Wilmington before becoming proprietor of Woodmansee's Elevators at Melvin and Highland. He was a proponent of emerging agricultural technologies, having received training at McMillan Feed Mills, Decatur, Ind. He helped introduce liquid fertilizer to his customers and promoted the latest techniques of beef, pork and crop production.
He was a lay leader, youth Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent at Reesville United Methodist Church, and later attended Richland Methodist Church. He served on the Clinton County Board of Elections for 16 years, and chaired the county Democratic Central Committee. He was president of the Sabina Lions Club and Worshipful Master of Sabina Lodge No. 324, F. & AM and a member of the Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite and Aladdin Temple Shrine.
Both avid aviation and sports fans, Mr. and Mrs. Woodmansee attended Thompson Trophy air races in Cleveland on their honeymoon. He took a biplane ride over Louisville on his 80th birthday. He participated in softball leagues until his mid-40s, and together they attended every Ohio State home football game of the coach Woody Hayes era starting in 1951, including several Rose Bowl trips. They also attended Ohio State and University of Dayton basketball and Cincinnati Reds baseball games. He sponsored and helped coach many youth baseball teams, including a Tri County Class Triple A team that competed in the state finals in Lakeland. He mentored and provided summer employment for many young athletes in the area.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda Lee (Hartley III) Jackson, South Pasadena, Calif.; and a son, Lelan K. (Marlena) Woodmansee, Louisville; four grandsons, Patrick Colin Jackson, Scott Everett Jackson, Craig Donavin (Jennifer) Woodmansee and David Nathan Woodmansee; three great-grandchildren Arwen Elena, Harper Wye and Violet Winter Woodmansee; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; an infant twin sister, Dona Lee Woodmansee; a brother, Everett Woodmansee; three sisters, Margene Haines Lawson and Anna Lois Clarke and her infant twin Louise Woodmansee.
Son, Lelan Woodmansee, is also seen in this video sharing a few words about his caring father.

What you are watching is what it looks like to be me in your passive aggressive world. My name is Jeffhfromoxford, but I don't live in Oxford (Ohio) anymore. My YouTube documentary project currently has about 4500 videos, all of which I created from video-recording the world around me. As far as your angry comments, don't waste your time: I don't care what you think about me or my videos. However, if the subject of the video or another comment interests you, feel free to add comments. I have all of the videos set to allow me to moderate comments. I don't censor or editorialize with your comments. People are going to think what they think, and I'm not about telling people what to do or how to think. I do, however, delete and ban haters and rude/obscene people. I'm probably older than you, maybe old enough to be your father, or at least, an interesting older uncle, who dresses well and carries himself with some dignity and a sense of flair.
