Omis is a port town in the Dalmatia region of Croatia, approximately 25 kilometres south-east of Split. Famous for its wonderful pirate history the town is also popular for hiking and adventure sports such as canyoning, rock climbing and zip lining. But not all the activities in Omis are adrenaline fuelled. Kayaking or a boat trip up the Cetina river are also a nice way to enjoy the beautiful landscape. For approx 80 Kuna pp, you can take a 2-hour ride up the canyon.

Canyoning tour takes place on the most water-rich river in Dalmatia called Cetina. The river has its source in the northwestern slopes of Dinara and it flows a distance of 101 km to the Adriatic Sea.
This tour will take you to its most beautiful and interesting part; stunning cliffs, powerful waterfalls and crystal clean water will leave you breathless.
Canyoning will enable you to immerse in the stunning nature with a combination of walking, climbing, going through tunnels, swimming in natural water polls and floating down the river.
Availability: Every day from 1st of May to the end of October.

The most beautiful source of Cetina river. River Cetina has no less than eight sources, among which the largest one is the Glavaševo Lake a.k.a. Glavaš, 130 metres in depth. It's located near the village of Cetina, and 7 kilometres north of the Town of Vrlika.

Omis Harbour & Cetina River, Croatia
Omis is a small Croatian town on the mouth of the Cetina River and surrounded by gorges. The river is popular for white water rafting, canyoning and canoeing. Behind the harbour street locals conduct their daily lives in the pretty cobbled lanes and squares. Standing high above the town is the Omis Fortress. On our recent holiday in Croatia we went on the zip line in Omis.
The zip line is located in the canyon of the River Cetina, 3 km from Omiš. It has 8 wires with an overall length of 2100m and 150m above ground level. The longest wire, is the 1st one, with a length of 700m. Filmed using my go pro hero to try and give you an idea of what it looks like.

We start our rafting adventure on a hidden river beach not far from Split city. Instructors will hold a safety briefing at the beach where you will learn the basics of using a paddle ang get all equipment. Once we are all in rafts, the expedition is ready to set off.
Calm and white water parts exchange on a three hour journey through crystal clear waters of Cetina river suitable for both experts and beginners.
Tour ends on a meadow where it is possbile to organize BBQ lunch on request.
