Lago Guajataca is a reservoir located between the municipalities of San Sebastián, Quebradillas, and Isabela in Puerto Rico. This man-made lake was created in 1929.
The lake receives flow from the Guajataca River and can be used for fishing. The reservoir provides water to the inhabitants of northwestern Puerto Rico. It is also the location of Camp Guajataca, the island's main camping grounds of the Boy Scouts of America. The lake area is 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the island and provides year-round recreational opportunities and outdoor activities including fishing for bass, tilapia and catfish, kayaking, nature watching and relaxing in general.
The name of the lake comes from the area where it is located. Guajataca, sometimes spelled Guajataka, is an area in Puerto Rico between the municipalities of Quebradillas, San Sebastián and Isabela. The name comes from the Taíno Indian word for the area (northwestern Puerto Rico) prior to the arrival of Cristobal Colon. The river, Río Guajataca, also carries the name.
Lago Guajataca was built by the United States Army Corps of Engineers by building a dam across the river Río Guajataca and is owned by the Puerto Rico Electrical Authority. Many schools, businesses, and organizations, including a parador, Boy Scout Camp, and kayak excursion company are named for the area and water way as well.

Where Am I? | Part 1 | Golfing at the Robert Trent Jones Trail at Ross Bridge
Welcome to Part 1 of my golf course vlog at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Ross Bridge in Birmingham, Alabama.
ANNOUNCEMENT: I will be hosting a golf event called the Creators Cup at this golf course from May 8-10, 2020. Send me an email at dbarnard@alumni.nd.edu if you are interested in receiving more information about the event.
The Renaissance Resort at Ross Bridge is part of a much larger network of excellent courses called the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The RTJ Trail consists of 468 holes spread across eleven locations in Alabama. Dr. David Bronner, the CEO of the Retirement Systems of Alabama, dreamed up a collection of golf resorts so distinct and fitting for the natural beauty of the rolling terrain of Alabama that golf junkies from across the country and world would come out every year to play it. He knew only one man up for such a challenge - Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The resulting masterpiece includes The Shoals, Grand National, Capitol Hill, and 8 other golf destinations across Alabama. In the center of the state stands arguably one of the very best set of 18 holes out of the 468 - Ross Bridge. As you can see in the video, the natural landscape and topography of this course is remarkable. The sheer size and expansiveness is also something to behold. Welcome to Ross Bridge. I hope you enjoy the course vlog and can come see this natural beauty for yourself. #rtjtrail #roberttrentjonesgolftrail #roberttrentjones

Check out his shadow in the parking lot @ 3:56. His tail rotor comes very close to hitting the palm trees.
