River Hongbao is an annual Lunar Chinese New Year event that is held in Marina Bay in Singapore.
The celebration was founded in 1986 and, through the collaboration of the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Association, has been held each year since.

River Hongbao brings out an awe-inspiring display of Chinese cultures and traditions. The word ‘Hongbao’ means Red Pocket, a New Year monetary gift that is believed to bring good luck to children and unmarried adults.
River Hongbao is the leading Lunar Chinese New Year event that draws people from all over the country seeking to experience the fun-filled activities which are celebrated in Marina Bay.
Visual displays of lanterns that depict Chinese characters such as the God of Wealth brings out the crowd in droves. During the event, both local and foreign acrobats and artists stage performances to an excitable crowd. Also, activities such as riddle games provide an opportunity for tourists and Singaporeans to mingle.
There will be fireworks and laser show on every night at 9pm, except on Chinese New Years Eve when they will go off at 12am midnight.
Amusement rides and other activities are the main attraction for kids while adults enjoy the carnival attractions with dodgem cars, Ferris Wheels and teacup rides which are fun for all ages.
The event also showcases stalls with intricate Chinese handicrafts with calligraphy, paper cutting and stamps. Make sure to head over to the many food stalls and taste the more than 30 unique mouth-watering Chinese dishes that are part of the event including pork, satay, roast duck and squid.
So head down to the floating platform at Marina Bay to be in the heart of all the action for River Hongbao.

2020年的春到河畔活动时间是1月23日至2月1日!每晚九点至十点期间都有精彩的烟花表演和精彩的春节歌台秀表演。《全场免费进入》

最后两晚初七和初八将迎来名为: 《璀璨妆艺和谐色彩》的专业大游行花车队伍巡游。
2020年的春到河畔活动将首次推出虚拟游戏，公众可用手机应用在滨海湾浮动舞台捕捉隐藏在滨海湾浮动舞台各个角落的虚拟动物，如果成功捕获手持红包的动物，还有机会赢取奖品。
这款名为生肖猎奇(HuntYourZodiaiac)游戏应用,结合了扩增实景(augmented reality,简称AR)技术。
这款游戏是由新加坡邮政储蓄银行(POSB)以一家手机应用软体公司合作开发。
此外，POSB 吉祥物 Smiley 松鼠也会化身财神爷，一连五晚在特定吉时到春到河畔派发红包。
春到河畔的另一项重点节目是特别展览红彤彤的祝福，华人红包文化。
这次展出超过400件物品，是新加坡多名红包收藏家私人珍藏其中一些稀有款式红包，以及印有十二生肖及当地早期建筑图案的红包等，还可以欣赏到不同时代红包封套在设计上的演变。

Explore interactive exhibits, and take photos with intricate handmade lanterns. See over 400 red packets, including collectors’ editions, at a specially-curated ‘hongbao’ exhibition. Kids will love playing RHB’s first virtual game #HuntYourZodiac where they can use mobile screens to “catch” the 12 zodiac animals!

The River Hongbao is an annual Singapore event that is held during the Chinese New Year. This year the event is held at The Float @ Marina Bay. The River Hongbao first started in 1987 and has since become the largest and most anticipated Chinese New Year event in Singapore.
The celebration typically features fireworks by award-winning fireworks artists and will have Instagram-worthy lanterns, performances by local and overseas dance troupes, and other interactive fringe activities during the 8-days festivity.

Chinese New Year 2018 with spectacular fireworks at River Hongbao 2018, Singapore. This annual event takes place at The Float @ Marina Bay with the spectacular skyline of Singapore as backdrop from 14 to 24 February 2018.
On 23 & 24 February, RHB 2018 will lead the audience in a “parade dance” to epitomise our unity as a nation. On the same nights, the Chingay parade will join hands with RHB 2018 to put up a cultural spectacular for the audience.

River Hongbao 2019 (RHB 2019) - Bicentennial Edition, an 8-day extravaganza of lights, sights, and sounds to usher in the Year of the Pig, will be held at The Float @ Marina Bay from 3 to 10 February 2019. Since its first rendition in 1987, River Hongbao has become the largest and most anticipated Chinese New Year event in Singapore.
Jointly organised by the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Association, Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Singapore Press Holdings Limited, Singapore Tourism Board and People’s Association, this year’s celebration will feature fireworks by award-winning fireworks artists from USA, China, Italy and Australia. River Hongbao 2020 to feature old favourites and new exhibits to engage more visitors
More than a million people are expected to attend River Hongbao 2020, which will take place at The Float @ Marina Bay from January 23. There will be giant lanterns, a carnival with rides and games, and stalls selling unique Chinese snacks. On the last two days, visitors can see the Chingay procession as it makes its way past The Float. The fireworks display will take place on all ten nights of the festival.
