Udis emploie 500 personnes à ce jour contre 30 à ses débuts. En un siècle, la boutique traditionnelle a évolué pour devenir un groupe commercial qui réalise Rs 2,5 milliards (62,5 millions d'euros) de ventes pour un bénéfice net de Rs 150 millions (3,75 millions d'euros) en 2011, soit l'opérateur le plus rentable de la grande distribution de l'île Maurice.
INNOVATION
Dans son hypermarché flambant neuf, Super U a développé de nouveaux univers comme la boulangerie-pâtisserie, un service traiteur ou encore une boucherie traditionnelle en libre-service. De plus, l'enseigne est la seule de l'île à proposer des cartes de fidélité à points, la carte U.
DYNAMISME À L'EXTÉRIEUR
Pascal Tsin a su convaincre le président de la centrale Sud de Système U, sise à Montpellier, et a pu ainsi ouvrir, en juin 2000, le premier supermarché sous cette enseigne hors de France.
ENGAGEMENT CITOYEN
À partir de 2012, le Super U de Grand Baie parrainera un certain nombre d'enfants défavorisés, de la crèche à l'université. En fonction des résultats obtenus, cette initiative sera progressivement étendue aux autres points de vente du groupe.
