Notodden, Norway - Industry, Blues - and a little more - DJI Mavic 2 Pro
We are in Notodden in Telemark, neighbouring town in the west to my hometown of Kongsberg. Notodden municipality, with 12,300 inhabitants, today appears first and foremost as a trading center for East Telemark with industry and schools. Notodden has roots back as a typical industrial city, but was first granted urban status in 1913. The starting point was the Tinnelva river with log driving and hydropower. It grew sawmill and wood processing that provided the basis for the first urban growth. Notodden is Norsk Hydro's cradle and was established here in 1905 when they started saltpeter production and power development.
Afterwards we stop at Meheia, which is a wooded area between Kongsberg and Notodden and widely used for fishing, swimming and recreation.
