Kanamara P*nis Festival Exposed ★ ONLY in JAPAN
★ Special Episode ★ This festival will next be held on Sunday, April 5 2020. Here's a preview with all the background you'll need.
Japan's Kanamara Matsuri as you've never seen it before!
Every now and then something very bizarre from Japan pops up in the news. This time, it happens to be bright pink and carried around the streets of a town near Tokyo. The Kanamara Matsuri / Festival is definitely unusual but there is much more to this story including a strong historical backbone and religious significance.
So – WHY #JAPAN ?!?! WHY ?!?
The international media sees the images and write the stories but never ask the questions. Let me do that for you in this episode.
The festival sometimes dubbed the “Penis” festival or the Utamaro Festival has a long history going back 200 years.
It was created by a transgender salon in Asakusa called Elizabeth who wanted to bring attention to the issue of STD, HIV / AIDS and the LGBT community. They succeeded in getting a lot of attention but over the last several years, the message has gotten lost in the shock and -- bright pink of their hand made phallus. Whatever you may think about Elizabeth, there is no doubt that it is the most photographed mikoshi in Japan!
Kanamara #Shrine is dedicated to both fertility and a place for prayer for women afflicted by sexual diseases. It's a place women go to today to pray to get pregnant and for a healthy child.
Those who have been unfortunate to contract a STD have been coming here for centuries. The priests approach those afflicted with a lot of compassion. Kanamara Shrine is certainly one that opens its arms to anyone and everyone who is suffering and that compassion is admirable.
In recent years, the worldwide media attention has been overwhelming skewed on the weird and the Kanamara Matsuri has become something of a joke and embarrassment in many Japanese eyes. I really hope that this episode can help shed light on the cultural, historical and religious significance of this festival in Japan today. It's more than a gag, a comedy piece.
Parental Guidance suggested:
Because viewers of the shows come from all different backgrounds and ages, I highly recommend anyone under 13 have a parent watch with them. There are no actual body parts shown but I know the material is sensitive for parents; and parents should be the ones making the decision if this should be seen or not. I added a rating at the opening for this purpose.
Where is Kanamara Shrine?
Here's a Google Map:
Address: 2-13-16 Daishi Ekimae, Kawasaki Ward, Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture 210-0802
How to get to the Kanamara Matsuri:
Station: Kawasakidaishi Station / 川崎大師
Take the JR LINE to Kawasaki Station then change to the Keikyu Dashi Line, a 50 meter walk from JR. Take the train 3 stops, 140 Yen.

The Shinkansen Bullet Train (speed 320 km/h) 700, N700 and N700A Series
The Shinkansen (新幹線?, new trunk line) is a network of high-speed railway lines in Japan operated by four Japan Railways Group companies. Starting with the Tōkaidō Shinkansen (515.4 km) in 1964, the network has expanded to currently consist of 2,387.7 km (1,483.6 mi) of lines with maximum speeds of 240–320 km/h (150–200 mph), 283.5 km (176.2 mi) of Mini-shinkansen lines with a maximum speed of 130 km/h (80 mph), and 10.3 km (6.4 mi) of spur lines with Shinkansen services. The network presently links most major cities on the islands of Honshu and Kyushu, with construction of a link to the northern island of Hokkaido underway.
The maximum operating speed is 320 km/h (200 mph) (on a 387.5 km section of the Tōhoku Shinkansen). Test runs have reached 443 km/h (275 mph) for conventional rail in 1996, and up to a world record 581 km/h (361 mph) for maglev trains in 2003.
Shinkansen literally means new trunk line, referring to the high-speed rail line network. The name Superexpress (超特急 chō-tokkyū, initially used for Hikari trains, was retired in 1972 but is still used in English-language announcements and signage.
The Tōkaidō Shinkansen is the world's busiest high-speed rail line. Carrying 151 million passengers per year (March 2008), it has transported more passengers (over 5 billion, entire network over 10 billion) than any other high-speed line in the world. Between Tokyo and Osaka, the two largest metropolises in Japan, up to thirteen trains per hour with sixteen cars each (1,323-seat capacity) run in each direction with a minimum headway of three minutes between trains. Though largely a long-distance transport system, the Shinkansen also serves commuters who travel to work in metropolitan areas from outlying cities. Japan's Shinkansen network had the highest annual passenger ridership (a maximum of 353 million in 2007) of any high-speed rail network until 2011, when China's high-speed rail network surpassed it at 370 million passengers annually.

Secret City of Shiva in Mount Kailash and Mount GowriShankar? David Childress from Ancient Aliens

This is the channel of David Childress:
Hey guys, today we have the David Childress who you've seen many times on Ancient Aliens TV show. He has published so many books. But he has some fascinating information about mount Kailash, and other mountains. Welcome, David. Hi Praveen.
You've been to the Himalayas and you spent a long time there what's the strangest mountain you been to ? To me the strangest mountain that I've been to is Gaurishankar which is in the Rolwaling Himal, north of Kathmandu and just to the west of Mount Everest. So, is it technically in India? No it's in Nepal and it's completely in Nepal. It's totally in Nepal. Yes, I don't think it's even part of the border with Tibet. Gaurishankar is a very strange mountain because it's very similar to Mount Kailash in Tibet. Those two mountains are both famous because they are both, the reputed home of Shankar- Shiva. And it's so well known that Mount Kailash is the abode of Shiva and so many Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. Yeah, most people don't know about Mount Gaurishankar. I mean most of the Hindus don't know about that. People only think oh mount Kailash, but you know it's fascinating. So, what is in it? So you have this second mountain and you have mount Kailash, as abode of Shiva, but Shiva was also supposed to live on Gauri Shankar. And that mountain is especially holy mountain in Nepal, and I think that most of the people in Nepal do know about GauriShankar. But outside of Nepal I think most people aren't really aware of it and most tourists, don't know about Gauri Shankar either. Gauri Shankar is a sacred mountain in Nepal and the king of Nepal early on he forbid anyone to climb Gauri Shankar. Oh really!!No we didn't climb it. No one is allowed to climb it. Why, Why is that? That's because it is the abode of Shiva. So, I've always was so curious about why is Mount Kailash the abode of Shiva and why is Gaurishankar the abode of Shiva, what is special about those mountains? And we have in the United States in Northern California we have also a very special mountain called Mount Shasta. It's in the very far north of California. It's near the Oregon border, it’s big forest there and this is an area too where Bigfoot is known to be and that area, it's well known. People very much generally, believe in Bigfoot there. But they also believe in that area of the strange legends of Mount Shasta. And Mount Shasta is a volcano, extinct volcano. It looks kind of like Mount Fuji in Japan or something like that. A mountain just by itself up big, big tall mountain with snow at the top of glaciers. There's many lava tubes and tunnels there, a big forest it's there's no big cities nearby, only a few small towns. There is one highway going north up to Oregon. this is part of California that's not very populated at all. and people see UFOs coming out of the mountain, they claim. I have been there are a couple of times. And back in the 1800s even already the strange legends of Mount Shasta began with a book called ‘A Dweller on two planets’ by Phylos the Tibetan. So, this book…going back to Tibet. But that book also talks about ancient masters like the Rishis of the Ramayana, these masters and some are Hindu - Chinese other Hindu- Indians, other than Chinese and in that book there's a master named Quang and he shows to this person Walter Pierson in the 1800s. A hidden door to go into the mountain, Oh really, yeah into the Mount Shasta. So, in that book inside of Mount Shasta is like an ancient city. Oh really? Yeah ancient masters and they have a Vimanas.

Bus Station INDIAN THALI Breakfast + Entering Kaziranga NP | Jakhalabandha, Assam, India
I am so glad that I made the trip to the states of Assam and Meghalaya in northeast India in March of 2019. While I had visited many areas of India over the previous year, I had never explored this region. This part of the country was like a whole other world! The people, culture, landscapes, and food are all totally different from other parts of India. Come along with me as I explore the wonders of northeast India!
After my first and only full day in Tezpur, I got up early the next morning and met with my new friend Honey from Wild Grass Lodge in Kaziranga National Park, which was my next stop on my epic trip through northeast India. I couldn’t wait to go there and see some animals! But before I headed off to the park, I needed to get some breakfast!
Honey would be taking me to Kaziranga National Park, and along the way is a bus station that is near a strip of restaurants that are famous for their breakfasts. I wanted to have its thali breakfast, so we set off for the bus station! Along the way, Honey told me about a local bridge and the Ahom Dynasty, which used to rule this area. The ride there was super bumpy, though!
We arrived in Jakhalabandha and found the Maharaja Hotel. This area is known for its veg food, so this would be a straight veg thali with seven items. I couldn’t wait!
I started with some super hot chai, which was creamy and milky and contained lots of ginger. Then it was time for the thali! This was my first breakfast thali ever. The place was super busy and everyone was watching me film!
The thali contained puris, gobi aloo matar, paneer bhurji, paneer masala, kheer, dal fry, and a spicy pickle. I started with the puri and dal fry. The dal fry was a thick dal mash. It was a little spicy and contained tomato and onion. I loved it!
Next was the paneer masala, which was a delicious cottage cheese curry. It contained big chunks of paneer. It didn’t have too strong of a flavor and was very light. Then I went with the paneer bhurji, a dish I’d had many times before. It’s similar to scrambled eggs and contains tomatoes, onions, and chilies. This one was very crispy and oily. It was so good!
Then I mixed some paneer masala, paneer bhurji, and dal fry on a puri. There were so many amazing textures! Then I tried the gobi aloo matar, potato and tomato dish with peas. It was like a potato salad with masala and herbs. Then I added some of the pickle, which was pungent but not too spicy at first but snuck on me later.
The kheer is like a sweet, milky rice pudding with coconut and was a great way to end the meal!
Then they brought us a potato samosa. It was fresh out the fryer and contained lots of steaming potato mash, masala, and peppers. It was crunchy and flaky and is a lot like an empanada.
This was one of my favorite breakfasts ever! I couldn’t get enough of it! It only cost 250 rupees/$3.56 U.S. for the whole thing.
There were lots of similar restaurants in the area, which serve people passing through this bus route.
Then we hit the road again for another hour. Along the way, we saw rice fields along the road, which was in much better shape than the one we took from Tezpur to Jakhalabandha! I found out that animals frequently cross this road and that there are more tigers in the park than I was initially told!
The park is the only place where you can see the one-horned rhino, as well as lots of other animals. I spotted some rhinos from the car and had to get out to see them. I could see six adults and a calf, as well as a monkey who kept looking at me!
Then we came across a kid riding an Asian elephant, followed by a lot more! Even though they were domesticated, it was incredible to see them. They were beautiful! I even got to touch one! Because I took photos, I tipped the guys riding them.
We arrived at Wild Grass Resort and followed a rocky, narrow path to a building with German-style architecture. I saw the dining hall and the old building I’d be staying at. It felt like a mansion that had been converted into a hotel. The room had two twin beds and felt like a cottage. I couldn’t wait to sleep there!
I hope you enjoyed coming along on my journey to Kaziranga National Park! If you did, please give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment. Also please subscribe to my channel!

PATALESHWAR CAVE TEMPLE | PUNE |
PATALESHWAR CAVE TEMPLE ! PUNE !
The Pataleshwar Cave Temple (also called Panchaleshvara or Bamburde) is a rock-cut cave temple, carved out in the 8th century in the Rashtrakuta period.[1] It is located in what is now Pune, in the state of Maharashtra, India. It was originally situated outside the town, but the city limits have expanded so that it is now located on the downtown Jangli Maharaj Road. It has been declared as a protected monument by the government.[2]
Pataleshwar Caves Internal Temple Corridors HDR Panorama Image.
The temple, made of basalt rock, is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. The sanctum - a cube-shaped room about 3–4 metres on each side - houses a linga - the symbol of Shiva and there are two smaller cells on each side. In front of the cave is a circular Nandi mandapa, its umbrella shaped canopy supported by massive square pillars. This mandapa is one of the peculiar structures of Pataleshwar. The cave is located at a lower level than the present level of the road and the cave complex. There is an exquisitely carved circular Nandi shrine in the huge courtyard of the cave. The main cave is rectangular on plan and has a pillared porch. There are three sanctums in the cave temple and the central one houses the Shivalinga. There is a circumambulation path provided in the cave where one can see the unfinished part of the cave temple. It appears that after finishing the front and the sanctum the cave was left incomplete due to some reasons, one of which could be the faults in the rock. However the walls in the main cave have some outlines drawn suggesting the sculptures depicting stories from Indian mythology, especially involving Shiva.[citation needed]
The huge complex of the cave has been converted into a garden and there are a few architectural members stored in it probably belonging to some old temple nearby. As this is the oldest monument in Pune, which is over 1300 years old, the Pune office of the Archaeological Survey of India is located in the adjacent property.
Pataleshwar Caves Internal Temple Columns HDR
The temple was left incomplete, possibly because of a fault line found at the back of the sanctum sanctorum, which made the further sculpting unsafe, or political upheaval resulting in loss of patronage. Still in use, the linga is anointed with ghee and yogurt. A brass temple bell hangs outside the basalt entryway.[citation needed]
