This was my surprise experience when I went to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. I met the most incredible man, in my life! this was a very moving experience. Now years later I realize how blessed I was that day, I will never forget. God bless him and his work for the Veterans that deserve this place and the reason it's there.
The Journey Continues Across New Mexico
Left Golden Eagle RV Park in Eagle Nest New Mexico, took the North loop to Red River then down to Taos and then South to the KOA North in Bernalillo, New Mexico. Stayed there for a couple of days to get a hot water heater changed out and a few other things done to the RV. We used Affordable RV Service in the Albuquerque area, Gene the owner was very dependable, knowledgeable and very Professional. Here is a link to his web site if your ever in the area and need a great Mobile Service Tech.
Left there heading West on I-40 to Red Rock Park which use to be Red Rock State Park but now City owned located in Church Rock, New Mexico.
Here is a short video of some of the scenery we saw on the way , Hope you enjoy. Don't forget to Subscribe if you like what you see, Thanks for watching.

Windmill RV Park in Carlsbad New Mexico offers full hookup RV camping with pull thrus. Gravel sites and roads the park is located right off the main drag heading south out of town just behind a fueling station. The park is not spectacular but not bad either. A mix of long term sites and short term stays the location and some of the long term rigs bring down the overall ambiance of the park. There is a pool and a small playground (swing set) located near the office/ store.
For short term guests there are better choices in the area. Rates are very reasonable (sub $20 per night with Passport America). There is a good mix of shade trees within the park.
Located south of the main town the park is still in an urban setting near to Walmart.

NASCAR
The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) is a family owned and operated business venture that sanctions and governs multiple auto racing sports events. It was founded by Bill France, Sr. in 1947–48. As of 2014, the CEO for the company is Brian France, grandson of Bill France, Sr. NASCAR is the largest sanctioning body of stock car racing in the United States. The three largest racing series sanctioned by NASCAR are the Sprint Cup Series, the Nationwide Series, and the Camping World Truck Series. It also oversees NASCAR Local Racing, the Whelen Modified Tour, the Whelen All-American Series, and the NASCAR iRacing.com Series. NASCAR sanctions over 1500 races at over 100 tracks in 39 US states and Canada. NASCAR has presented exhibition races at the Suzuka and Motegi circuits in Japan, Mexico, and Calder Park Raceway in Australia.
NASCAR's headquarters are located in Daytona Beach, Florida, although it also maintains offices in four North Carolina cities: Charlotte, Mooresville, Concord, and Conover. Regional offices are located in New York City, Los Angeles, and Bentonville, Arkansas, and international offices are located in Mexico City and Toronto. Additionally, owing to its Southern roots, all but a handful of NASCAR teams are still based in North Carolina, especially near Charlotte.
