(10-26-2016) Totally unexpected. I was out running some errands with a friend and we drove by this building he used to work in. He told me they had an old elevator inside. We just had to stop and check it out. Unfortunately it was filmed on my Panasonic as I had not planned on filming today however this video still will show you this awesome elevator!! Mill Mountain, Roanoke Mountain Loop Road & Dieselducy's Scooter Motorcycle
We went up to Mill Mountain last Sunday and met Dieselducy up there where I got to ride on his scooter motorcycle and enjoyed God's beautiful creation of the blue ridge mountains. We also went to Roanoke Mountain overlook where you can see the back of Mill Mt and see the top of the back of the Roanoke Star. Just one of the highlights of my weekend trip up to the star city of the south. For more info on blue ridge mountains overlooks, see the links below:
Driving from Roanoke to Martinsville, Virginia
US 220 meets the northern terminus of State Route 87 in Ridgeway, and soon after turns west to bypass the city of Martinsville on a freeway partially shared with US 58. Another bypass takes the highway around the town of Rocky Mount, after which US 220 crosses the Blue Ridge at Murray Gap. Soon after entering the city of Roanoke, US 220 intersects SR 419 and again becomes a freeway, this one passing just east of downtown Roanoke and becoming Interstate 581 northwest to Interstate 81.
