Roaring Wine Tours
We are located in Cromwell, Central Otago, New Zealand.
We operate a small wine tour business which takes people all over the Central Otago wine region on daily wine tours.
We collect passengers from Queenstown, Wanaka, Alexandra and Cromwell every day and taste wine from all over this region.
We only visit the smallest producers as it is our belief that the larger wine factories take the romance and passion out of the wine.

43 The Crown Range on a Boom Trike
Day three of our seven day adventure from Christchurch to Te Anau via the lakes district. With the first two days of rain we're so pleased to see a break in the clouds and some sunshine today.
Our overnight stay at the historic Cardrona Hotel was everything we hoped it would be an more. Warm comfortable ensuite rooms. Exception food and wine. Roaring fires with big leather sofa's. And this morning, breakfast with everything fresh and tasty.
The day starts with a walk around the Cardrona Hotel before heading just north out of town to check out Bradrona - the bra fence that started in the late 1990s and has esculated to hundreds of random bras being strapped to a fence. Through a donation box, the bra fence has raised more than NZD$30,000 for the breast cancer society.
After this quick sight seeing stop, we're taking the Crown Range through to Cromwell, although this video is just the Crown Range and the Video No.44 will cover the ride through the Kawerau Gorge to Cromwell.
It was a beautiful day on the road, and with little traffic behind us we took the route fairly slowly - as to enjoy the vistas for as long as possible. We did however pull over when a vehicle came up behind us.
The Crown Range road is beautifully scenic and currently rates as my third favourite road in New Zealand - behind the Milford Sound Road and West Coast Road. Only down side to this road, it is that it is far too short!
Enjoy the video. Feel free to comment.

We are inviting locals and visitors to take their taste buds on a journey through the flavours of Central Otago between the 20th of September and 23rd of October 2017.
Local cafes, restaurants and cellar doors have helped produce a ‘Central Otago Regional Menu’ that celebrates our place in three categories: Burger & Sandwich Challenge, Pie, and Main Meal. Many of these dishes are matched with local Central Otago wines, beers and juices.
The public will be able to vote online for their favourite menu items and the “Peoples’ Choice” Award and an invited judging panel will select its top picks and an overall winner.
The ‘Regional Menu’ is available to taste between 20 September and 23 October.

Mount Michael Wines
Mount Michael Wines, 2013 Wine Picking, April 21st.
Pinot Noir is our flagship wine. It does, however, present a paradox: under the right conditions, it can be one of the most rich and elegant red wines ever produced, but made from a finicky grape which is so difficult to grow it has been dubbed by many 'the Diva'.
Our vineyard at Lowburn, Central Otago, presents perfect growing conditions for Pinot Noir with its extremes of temperature and mineral rich soils comprising loam over schist and quartz gravels.
IWR 47: Mt.Difficulty 2015 ‘Packspur Vineyard’ Pinot Noir, Central Otago.
Mt.Difficulty 2015 ‘Grower Series, Lowburn Valley, Packspur Vineyard’ Pinot Noir, Central Otago.
The complete name may be a mouthful; however, I know Club Booze Hunter members get excited when a Central Otago pinot noir arrives as part of their bi-monthly case. Regarding the complete name, I do believe it’s a testament to Otago that they can differentiate their vineyards and consumers care!
Central Otago is one of New Zealand’s hottest, coldest and driest areas. It is also an area fantastic for growing Pinot Noir with 75% of the areas vineyards planted to the variety. This Mt.Difficulty wine is from the Lowburn Valley located within the subregion of the Cromwell Basin all within Central Otago.
When opening the wine, it looked a little simple. I decanted the wine back to bottle and left it overnight. The next day, the wine looked fantastic. On the nose there is Plum, Strawberry and Blueberry with lifted clove, char and cola. Overall, the wine is deep and pretty with a velveteen quality. In the mouth the wine is full, soft, round and textured.
Either put this wine away for a few years or decant, decant and decant,
Peace and Stay Awesome,
Craig Thompson, The Booze Hunter

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Newcastle upon Tyne (locally (listen)), commonly known as Newcastle, is a city in Tyne and Wear, North East England, 103 miles (166 km) south of Edinburgh and 277 miles (446 km) north of London on the northern bank of the River Tyne, 8.5 mi (13.7 km) from the North Sea. Newcastle is the most populous city in the North East, and forms the core of the Tyneside conurbation, the eighth most populous urban area in the United Kingdom. Newcastle is a member of the English Core Cities Group and is a member of the Eurocities network of European cities.Newcastle was part of the county of Northumberland until 1400, when it became a county of itself, a status it retained until becoming part of Tyne and Wear in 1974. The regional nickname and dialect for people from Newcastle and the surrounding area is Geordie. Newcastle also houses Newcastle University, a member of the Russell Group, as well as Northumbria University.
The city developed around the Roman settlement Pons Aelius and was named after the castle built in 1080 by Robert Curthose, William the Conqueror's eldest son. The city grew as an important centre for the wool trade in the 14th century, and later became a major coal mining area. The port developed in the 16th century and, along with the shipyards lower down the River Tyne, was amongst the world's largest shipbuilding and ship-repairing centres.
Newcastle's economy includes corporate headquarters, learning, digital technology, retail, tourism and cultural centres, from which the city contributes £13 billion towards the United Kingdom's GVA. Among its icons are Newcastle United football club and the Tyne Bridge. Since 1981 the city has hosted the Great North Run, a half marathon which attracts over 57,000 runners each year.
