INTA NSW 2012 Mudgee Highlights
A great weekend was had by all in Mudgee for the 2012 CountryLink Inland NSW Tourism Awards.
For over nine years -- it's been the night to celebrate, unite and reward... And the 2012 CountryLink Inland NSW Tourism Awards -- did just that!
This year's host town Mudgee providing a picture-perfect platform...
With entrants from four regional tourism areas of NSW including Central, Inland, Murray and the Riverina, the ceremony was packed... with over 40 excited finalists waiting to see if they'd nabbed an award.
The annual event proudly hosted by CountryLink, is a major tourism industry affair for Inland NSW.
It provides tourism organisations and individuals the opportunity to gain an insight into their industry and business, achieve recognition for their success and promote tourism within their region.
Karin Groth said, One of the challenges that we have in tourism is that we are often working in small to medium size businesses and what that means is that we are busy working in our business and not working on our business. So the Awards provide an opportunity for businesses to actually reflect on the achievements of the past 12 months and also identifying where they want to go.
The prestigious evening is growing with over 27 categories this year... ranging from standard accommodation, tourist attractions... to tourism marketing...
While some are regular faces on the stage, others are first-timers... but all were superbly proud and all deserving.
And it doesn't stop there, winners of the CountryLink Inland NSW Tourism Awards are now a step closer to the NSW Tourism Awards, further recognising and showcasing the State's finest tourism operators.
But that's not before a winner's breakfast at Robert Oatley Winery the morning after.
While this year's awards might be over, the countdown is already on for 2013 -- with host town Moree getting
ready for the action.
Why not become involved and join us as we celebrate our tenth year in 2013. If you'd like to see the full list of winners, find out about workshops coming to your area, application information or how the awards can benefit and boost your business, then head to inlandtourismawards.com.au

THE eKlection - Off The Vine, Series 2: Episode 1: (2002) Rosemount Estate Vineyard
Director: Chris Jenkin
Cast: Michaela Cantwell, Chris Jarmer, Stephen John, John Edwards
Rosemount Estate Vineyard: In just over thirty years, Rosemount Estate has established itself as one of Australia’s leading wineries. Most of the fruit used for its celebrated red wines are grown in McLaren Vale, just an hour's drive south of Adelaide. Rosemount’s commitment to quality has led to the creation of wines renowned for their full flavored, easy drinking style. This unique combination is the magic of Rosemount and has been lauded around the world by wine lovers, critics, and judges alike. Bob Oatley founded the winery in 1969 from an Upper Hunter Valley base, but it has grown way beyond that. There are now Rosemount vineyards in Mudgee and Orange in New South Wales, and in the Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills, Langhorne Creek, and McLaren Vale areas of South Australia. Rosemount Estate’s McLaren Vale operations offer an insight into the winemaker’s success. They have taken traditional winemaking and blended it with modern Australian techniques to make full-flavored fruit-driven wines which are finding favor with wine drinkers around the globe. This year, (2002) Rosemount Estate had the honor of winning the prestigious Jimmy Watson trophy, which is awarded for a red wine less than one-year-old and yet to be bottled.
