Come and listen to Mozart's eclectic Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola performed by Klara Nazaj and Aureliano Balducci. The double-concertante Is a work that bursts with the joy of exploring new instrumental sound combinations and possibilities. It also marks a sort of turning point, in essence summing up much of what Mozart had achieved to date as an artist. Akos Kertesz will be performing one of Haydn's most successful works, Cello Concerto in C. This Concerto breaks through the limits of the Baroque concerto, enriching the ritornello with themes that are so full of subordinate ideas that they allow a greater variety of material. The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Warwick Stengards at Robert Sammut Hall in Floriana on the 27th and 28th of February at 19.30hrs.
This is an opportunity not to be missed.
