Exploring the BC Sunshine Coast Part 2 - Roberts Creek to Saltery Bay
The video contains footage from several beautiful places we discovered while exploring the southern Sunshine Coast in late September 2019.
We stop off at Roberts Creek, Porpoise Bay, and Sargeant Bay Provincial Parks plus the beach area at Davis Bay and a marina in Secret Cove.
The video ends with views from the ferry trip through gorgeous Jervis Inlet from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay.
Stay tuned for the next video from the northern section of the Sunshine Coast around Powell River and Lund.

Another day enjoying the GREAT MTB trails in the area. Some Sunny Sunshine Coast ridin. Really well built trails, especially considering it's not a huge population in the area (1 hour N of Vancouver).
9 Must-See Stops on the Sunshine Coast, BC, Canada
The Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada is just a short ferry ride away from Vancouver and is a stellar destination for food, culture and outdoor adventure. Here are nine must-sees in the area, but first be sure to click subscribe and ring the bell so you don’t miss any of our future adventures.
1. The Gumboot, the only full-service restaurant in the heart of Robert’s Creek. While the vegan menu were limited, they did have a few options, including a tofu breakfast scramble. The food was good, but prices are a little steep, so be prepared.
2. Around the back of the gumboot is the folly artisan, a chocolate and ice cream shop that makes all of it’s confections in-house, including coconut milk ice cream and vegan caramel cups.
3. Just up the road from The gumboot is “the gumboot cafe”, a casual eatery with indoor and outdoor seating, serving breakfast, pizza, desserts and coffee. Prices are a bit more moderate at the cafe and they have booze and coffee, too!
4. In Sechelt, one of the more developed areas of the Sunshine Coast, We stopped in at Cheeky Monkey Cakes and scarfed one delicious vegan cupcake. It’s in the Top ten, at least.
5. in Gibsons, make a pit stop at Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. - You’ll find quality olive oils from all over the globe and tons of info about the industry. Plus, you know, free samples.
6. For a fun place to stay, head to up the creek backpackers lodge, part b&b, part hostel, 100% great. This hostel has tent camping, bicycle rentals, great information on where to eat, cycle and hike - even a brand-new outdoor sauna.
7. Beautiful hikes are plentiful on the Sunshine Coast. Follow the main road through Roberts creek and you’ll run into the pier with views of the wooded coastline.
8. Traveling southeast on the Sunshine Coast highway from robert’s creek, you’ll run into Cliff Gilker park, an old-growth forest with beautiful waterfalls and shaded paths. This place could have been the inspiration for Fern Gully.
9. smuggler’s cove, Marine provincial park, northwest of Sechelt. Smuggler’s cove offers a long but relatively easy walk to the cove and the coast beyond over a bit of rocky terrain. The cove is a great place to go swimming or kayaking in the summer, good for hiking any time of year.
This park provides camping, hiking, swimming, kayaking and picnicking.

Sunshine Coast BC Travel Video
The Sunshine Coast of Canada is known for it's warmer climate compared to the rest of Canada. It boasts great hiking trails, wild adventures, and a laid back vibe. We enjoyed every moment of our trip to this beautiful destination.
In this video, we hiked a nearby mountain to one of the best views we have seen in Canada! This was one stop on the Sunshine Coast Trail. On the 2nd day of our adventure, we hopped on a small boat and explored the remote and sandy Savary Island. Make sure to ask the local boat guide about where to walk to find the sandy beach. Finally, we had some great beer at the Powell River Brewery (Townsite Brewing). The brewer is Belgian, so you know what that means... ;)

Sunshine Coast on KTM 690 Enduro R Part 3 - Roberts Creek to Sechelt
Here is part three of my solo day trip across the Sunshine Coast near Vancouver, BC. Part 3 is mostly single track trails. I was trying to find a route via trails between Roberts Creek and the town of Sechelt. There is some good trails in here but I missed a bunch more so now I have to go back!
These video's are of my ride on my KTM 690 Enduro R off the ferry at Langdale and up into the Dakota Bowl area on FSR's. Then down into some trails near Roberts Creek. Part 2 and 3 are more single track trails around Roberts Creek while Part 4 is some trail in West Sechelt plus the FSR's up to Spipiyus Provincial Park. Spipiyus Provincial Park, on the Sechelt Peninsula of the BC Sunshine Coast, is documented as the oldest closed-canopy temperate rain forest in Canada. My camera battery ran out up there so there is a few short clips of the spectacular views. My trip continued to the ferry termina l at Earls Cove and over towards Powell River. It was a seven hour and ten minute trip (stopped time 2hr21min) from ferry terminal to ferry terminal and covered 140 kilometers ( 87 miles) with 3965 meters (13,080 feet) of climbing and descending.

Gold Creek, Golden Ears Park, Maple Ridge, B.C., Canada by RSamson. Aerial drone
Colorful Gold Creek runs into Alouette Lake, deep in Golden Ears Park. Mini cliff diving , swimming, motor craft from the lake, all lake activies.
Rode my bike to the creek, (awesome ride), droned for a while (awesome video), then had lunch with my grandson and daughters (awesome in many ways) in an incredibly scenic setting surrounded by snow topped mountains. (awesome scenery). I LOVE WHERE I LIVE !! (IT'S AWESOME)

Exploring Smugglers Cove with GoPro
We spent a day swimming at Smugglers Cove. We took the GoPro and the motorbike 16km west of Sechelt all the way up the Sunshine Coast to Smugglers Cove Provincial Park. After a lovely hike through the woods we splashed down into this beautiful cove. You could certainly see why both human trafficking and rum running happened there in the bad old days as there are endless islets and bays to hide in.
