Robertson NSW & the Big Potato
Robertson is a large village in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia. Shire. The town is located on the edge of the Illawarra escarpment about 35 km from the coast. The 2011 census shows Robertson and its surrounding area had a population of 1,849 people. It has a high annual rainfall and fertile soil. It was previously covered by an extensive temperate rainforest, most of which has been cleared for farming though remnants such as Robertson Nature Reserve still exist today. The town is colloquially known as Robbo by the locals.
The town was once famous for cheese production. Today, the remnants of the industry are seen with one of the old cheese factories remaining in the town; it has been converted into a commercial row of shops.
Robertson is now more widely known for potato growing and is the home of the Big Potato. The Big Potato was built in the 1970s by a local potato grower.
Robertson is also where the 1995 movie Babe was filmed.
Robertson is named after former Premier of New South Wales Sir John Robertson, whose 1861 Land Act cleared the way for the establishment of the town. Before then it was called Yarrawa Bush.

PNTV: The Philosophy of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy by Donald Robertson
Here are 5 of my favorite Big Ideas from The Philosophy of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy by Donald Robertson. Hope you enjoy!
Got problems with your soul? These days, you’d see a psychotherapist. But, back in the day, it was the philosopher who’d help you optimize—they were the preferred physician of the soul. This book is about the philosophical roots of modern psychotherapy. Specifically, it outlines the connection between cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Stoicism. Big Ideas we explore include being a warrior of the mind vs. a librarian of the mind, your highest human purpose, getting on good terms with your inner daimon, practicing the reserve clause and modeling your ideal sage.

Kimba is also an RV friendly town, with access to shower facilities accepting donations, plenty of open space, and recreational areas like the Lions Apex park, which offers access to grassed camping sites, free electric BBQ and shaded picnic area, ideal for family get together's.
Standing at more than eight metres tall is Kimba's Big Gallah, which has become some what of an icon for this outback regional town, keeping watch over the Halfway Across Australia Gem Shop.
Located just off the Eyre Highway, the Kimba Gawler Range is a museum and village formed by the Kimba Historic Society. Their goal was to preserve the knowledge and insight into how life was for our pioneers, ho founded the region in the late 1800's. The sight houses 17 buildings open Tuesdays to Thursdays and on Sundays, due to the fact duties are done entirely by volunteers.
A short distance from town is White Knobs Lookout. The lookout offers a fantastic panoramic view of Kimba and its surrounding region and sculptures of Edward John Eyre and his tracking guide, whose skills assisted in the exploration and survival during extremely harsh conditions, from which the Eyre peninsula rightfully received its name.
The Roora Reserve Nature Trail is 6 kilometres of bushland path, categorising the local fauna and flora, along with a few artificial creations that add some guaranteed sight seeing along the way.
Don't pass up the opportunity to stop at the beautiful township of Kimba, South Australia.

ONCE WERE BROTHERS: ROBBIE ROBERTSON AND THE BAND Cast and Crew Q&A | TIFF 2019
He made music history several times over. He lived the rock star life at its peak. The depth and soul of his songwriting continues to influence countless artists all over the world. And it all started in a little corner of Southern Ontario. Born in Toronto and inspired to make music on the nearby Six Nations of the Grand River reserve, Robbie Robertson is a homegrown icon with a singular story to tell.
Daniel Roher's film draws you right into Robertson's orbit as he recounts his early formation, the talent, hard work, and happy accidents that led to his fame with The Band, and the conflicts that consumed them. It was a beautiful thing, he recalls. It was so beautiful it went up in flames. Rare archival images, Robertson's memory for detail, and contributions from friends such as Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, and Martin Scorsese conjure up a glorious era of creativity and excess that can never quite be repeated.
Through it all, the rhythm of Robertson's art hums — the yearning, the focus, and the ability to dig inside himself for lyrics and music that could speak to stadiums. He wrote his first song for Ronnie Hawkins when he was 15. Not 10 years later, he'd already struck up a productive partnership with Bob Dylan, and The Band were recording Music from Big Pink at a secluded country house in Upstate New York. But as The Band reached their creative peak, the seeds of their destruction were growing: egos, jealousies, and various intoxicants began to tear them apart.
Offering unprecedented access to rock history, Once Were Brothers tells the story of one remarkable Canadian's contribution to the music we now call Americana.

The 106kg half-back likened to Hurn | Will Gould | Draft Class of 2019 | AFL
You could have forgiven Will Gould for having some nerves.
Last month, the 18-year-old played for Glenelg in front of nearly 40,000 fans at Adelaide Oval in the SANFL Grand Final against the Port Adelaide Magpies.
But, aside from some initial flutters running onto the field, Gould settled in quickly and was a key player as the Tigers claimed their first flag in 33 years.
