The Estonian Open Air Museum (Estonian: Eesti Vabaõhumuuseum) is a life-sized reconstruction of an 18th-century rural/fishing village, which comes complete with church, inn, schoolhouse, several mills, a fire station, twelve farmyards and net sheds. The site spans 72 hectares of land and contains about 80 separate buildings and is located 8 km to the west of Tallinn city center at Rocca al Mare. Established in 1957, the museum showcases 68 farmhouses assembled into twelve farmyards from North, South and West Estonia.
[RU] Эстонский музей под открытым небом (эст. Eesti Vabaõhumuuseum) — музей сельской традиционной архитектуры Эстонии, расположенный в Таллине, в районе Рокка-аль-Маре. Музей, основанный 22 мая 1957 года, занимает 79 гектаров и включает (по состоянию на 2005 год) 72 постройки, большая часть которых скомпонованна в 11 хуторских дворов, объединенных, в свою очередь, в четыре территориальных группы: Западная Эстония, Северная Эстония, Южная Эстония и Острова. В дополнение к хуторским хозяйствам в музее представлены постройки общественного назначения (часовня, сельский магазин, школа и др.), расположенные по отдельности или группами.

Rocca al Mare is a subdistrict (Estonian: asum) in the district of Haabersti, Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It is mostly covered by the Estonian Open Air Museum. Besides the museum there is also a private secondary school Rocca al Mare School located in the subdistrict.
Tallinn is the capital and largest city of Estonia. It occupies an area of 159.2 km2 (61.5 sq mi) with a population of 416,144. It is situated on the northern coast of the country, on the banks of the Gulf of Finland, 80 km (50 mi) south of Helsinki, east of Stockholm and west of Saint Petersburg. Tallinn's Old Town is in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is ranked as a global city and has been listed among the top 10 digital cities in the world.

Rocca al Mare (Tallinn) - an open-air museum
Tallinn Open Air Museum is located on the outskirts of the city in the Rocca al Mare district. Exhibits here are houses and farm yards, built in Estonia for several centuries. The organizers of the museum wanted to recreate the rural atmosphere of the XVII-XX centuries and, it must be admitted, they fully succeeded.
