White Bass Run?? 20 Bass in 40 Mins - Creek Fishing For Bass
Could the white bass run have come early? Yes. I think so. I caught some white bass at the creek in a unusual way and that got me fishing for white bass. IMO Yes the spring white bass is here! November 30. The last 2 years I thought that the white bass run was on the weak side... but just maybe I was at the creek fishing at the wrong time.

Tri state marker for Massachusetts, Rhode Island & Connecticut
Explored: April 24th 2018
I love to explore and step back in time to what once was and today was no different. Off to Thompson, ct to check out the tri state marker for mass, rhode island & Connecticut. Awesome sights along the way. Not afraid of heights only of falling, lol but walking across that rotted bridge was sketchy at best. Check out the area on the airline trail and see what you can discover... ????
At a point where the three southern New England states, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, meet, is a four-sided monument with the states engraved on the sides. Period of the tripoint: 12–1-1883.
The marker is located off a very rocky rail trail that runs through both Connecticut and Massachusetts. In Connecticut, it is known as the Airline State Park Trail. In Massachusetts, it is known as the Southern New England Trunkline Trail.
the main trail to the tri-point is the rail bed on which the Great East Thompson Train Wreck occurred in 1891! The only time in US railroading history that FOUR trains crashed into each other!
The trestle bridge and nearby “hermit cave” snug in the northeastern corner of boxy Connecticut, is a miniature mecca of local lore. In 1789, the tiny village nearly assassinated the nation’s first president with its rough roads and rougher roadside fare. A century later, it was the scene of the worst railroad crash, measured by number of trains, in United States history.
East Thompson also may have been home to a mysterious hill dweller. Hobbit or human? I’d bet human. No one has shown convincingly who made this artificial cave above swampy Rocky Brook, or why. Locals call it the Hermit Cave. It’s a dome of stones about eight feet in diameter on the inside and about 4 feet high. Soil and pine needles cover the top, making it easy to overlook. It seems remote. The closest road, a couple hundred yards to the north, is rarely traveled and thinly settled.
It wasn’t always this way. The narrow, bumpy trail now known as Thompson Road was one of the busiest interstates in New England in the early years. Later, in the middle of the 19th century, someone cut a trench through the rock nearby and laid a railroad. Sometime after that, someone built a plank bridge over the trench strong enough and wide enough for heavy traffic... cows.

Canadian Pacific 9813
Canadian Pacific locomotive 9813 running between the Columbia River and the Trans Canada Highway, not too far from Golden BC, Canada.
Locomotive 9813 was built by General Electric in 2004, model number AC4400CW.
from WIKIPEDIA:
The GE AC4400CW is a 4,400 horsepower (3,300 kW) diesel-electric locomotive that was built by GE Transportation Systems between 1993 and 2004. It is similar to the Dash 9-44CW, but features AC traction motors instead of DC, with a separate inverter per motor. 2,598 examples of this locomotive were produced for North American railroads. As a result of more stringent emissions requirements that came into effect in the United States on January 1, 2005, the AC4400CW has been replaced by the GE ES44AC.
As of 2005, every Class I railroad with the exceptions of Norfolk Southern and Canadian National owns at least one AC4400CW. These units quickly gained a reputation as powerful freight haulers, especially in heavy-haul applications.
The AC4400CW was the first GE locomotive to offer an optional self-steering truck design, intended to increase adhesion and reduce wear on the railhead. This option was specified by Canadian Pacific, Cartier Railway, CSX, Ferromex, Ferrosur, and KCS.
The Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR), formerly also known as CP Rail (reporting mark CP) between 1968 and 1996, is a historic Canadian Class I railroad founded in 1881 and now operated by Canadian Pacific Railway Limited, which began operations as legal owner in a corporate restructuring in 2001. Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, it owns approximately 14,000 miles (22,500 km) route miles of track all across Canada and into the United States,[1] stretching from Montreal to Vancouver, and as far north as Edmonton. Its rail network also serves major cities in the United States, such as Minneapolis, Chicago, and New York City.
The railway was originally built between eastern Canada and British Columbia between 1881 and 1885, (connecting with Ottawa Valley and Georgian Bay area lines built earlier), fulfilling a promise extended to British Columbia when it entered Confederation in 1871. It was Canada's first transcontinental railway, but currently does not reach the Atlantic coast. Primarily a freight railway, the CPR was for decades the only practical means of long-distance passenger transport in most regions of Canada, and was instrumental in the settlement and development of Western Canada. The CP became one of the largest and most powerful companies in Canada, a position it held as late as 1975.[2] Its primary passenger services were eliminated in 1986, after being assumed by Via Rail Canada in 1978. A beaver was chosen as the railway's logo because it is one of the national symbols of Canada and represents the hardworking character of the company. The object of both praise and condemnation for over 120 years, the CPR remains an indisputable icon of Canadian nationalism.
The company acquired two American lines in 2009: the Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern Railroad and the Iowa, Chicago and Eastern Railroad. The trackage of the ICE was at one time part of CP subsidiary Soo Line and predecessor line The Milwaukee Road. The combined DME/ICE system spanned North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Iowa, as well as two short stretches into two other states, which included a line to Kansas City, Missouri, and a line to Chicago, Illinois, and regulatory approval to build a line into the Powder River Basin of Wyoming.
The Canadian Pacific Railway is a public company with over 15,000 employees and market capitalization of US $7 billion in 2008.[3] It is publicly traded on both the Toronto Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker CP.
The Milwaukee Road in Montana
Today, it's a fallen flag railroad, but it was once one of the most unique rail lines in the United States. The Milwaukee Road, which ran from Chicago to the Pacific Northwest, operated as an electrified line in Montana up until June of 1974. Photographer Ted Pope captured the last 4 days of the electric operations before the line switched to full diesel operations. The territory you will see in this video runs between Deer Lodge and Harlowton, Montana. Several scenes feature in-cab footage in the Little Joes as the trains travel through Sixteen Mile Canyon and the scenic Jefferson Canyon. They're places so remote, you can only see them by rail!
Get ready to enjoy historic footage of these magnificent electric locomotives pulling heavy freight across the beautiful Montana Mountain landscape!
For Milwaukee Road fans, this era represents the Milwaukee at its best! Be a part of this historic time period and enjoy the great action of The Milwaukee Road in Montana!
Running time 72 minutes, color/silent films with music and narration.

Peter Wolf Toth Trail of the Whispering Giants
Peter Toth created 74 Whispering Giants all are in all 50 states 1 in Canada, and even one in Hungary. Interesting fact is that they all resemble natives of the region that they are located in. The basic tools he used to create these were a hammer and chisel...and on occasion he used a mallet and an axe. He rarely ever used power tools to create these beautiful pieces of art. I hope everyone will be able to find them and let me know more about them with either photos or through a video.
