Places to see in ( Bournemouth - UK )
Bournemouth is a seaside resort on the southern coast of England. It's known for having 7 miles of beaches, Victorian architecture and buzzing nightlife in areas such as the Triangle. The resort is also home to Bournemouth Pier, an activity centre with an obstacle course, a climbing wall and a zip line. The 2-mile long Bournemouth Gardens offer rock gardens, an aviary and plant species from 3 continents.
Bournemouth is a large coastal resort town on the south coast of England directly to the east of the Jurassic Coast, a 96-mile (155 km) World Heritage Site. Bournemouth's growth really accelerated with the arrival of the railway and it became a recognised town in 1870. Historically part of Hampshire, it joined Dorset with the reorganisation of local government in 1974. Since 1997, the town has been administered by a unitary authority, giving it autonomy from Dorset County Council although it remains part of the ceremonial county. The local council is Bournemouth Borough Council.
The town centre has notable Victorian architecture and the 202-foot (62 m) spire of St Peter's Church, one of three Grade I listed churches in the borough, is a local landmark. Bournemouth's location has made it a popular destination for tourists, attracting over five million visitors annually with its beaches and popular nightlife. The town is also a regional centre of business, home of the Bournemouth International Centre or BIC, and a financial sector that is worth more than £1,000 million in Gross Value Added.
Originally an RAF airfield, Bournemouth Airport was transferred to the Civil Aviation Authority in 1944 and was the UK's only intercontinental airport before the opening of Heathrow in 1946. There are two stations in the town, Bournemouth railway station and Pokesdown railway station to the east. The principal route to the town centre is the A338 spur road, a dual carriageway that connects to the A31 close to the Hampshire border.
The town has a professional football club, AFC Bournemouth, known as the Cherries, which was promoted to the Championship in 2013 and Premier League in 2015. AFC Bournemouth play at Dean Court near Boscombe in Kings' Park, 2 miles (3 km) east of the town centre.

Places to see in ( Bournemouth - UK ) Bournemouth Pier
Bournemouth Pier makes the perfect photo location for a memory of your stay in Bournemouth. On a sunny day you will have blue skies in the background and the beautiful, award winning beaches. Off season it's free to get on the Bournemouth Pier , during the main season there is a small fee to get on.
At the Bournemouth Pier entrance you'll find a large arcade with the latest games, a number of units selling everything from ice-cream to sun hats, postcards and lots more. Above the arcade is Aruba bar and restaurant. On the pier itself you'll find the Rock Reef activity centre, Bournemouth Pier Zip wire and Key West Restaurant.
At a cost of £2,600 the new Bournemouth Pier was opened by the Lord Mayor of London in August 1880. Consisting of an open promenade, it stretched to a length of 838 ft (255.4 m) and spanned some 35 ft (10.6 m) across the neck of the pier, extending to 110 ft (33.3 m) at the head. Two extensions, in 1894 and 1909 respectively, took the pier's overall length to more than 1000 ft (304.8 m).

Places to see in ( Christchurch - UK )
Christchurch is a borough and town on the south coast of England. The town of Christchurch adjoins Bournemouth in the west and the New Forest lies to the east. Historically in the county of Hampshire, Christchurch became part of the administrative county of Dorset in the 1974 reorganisation of local government. Covering an area of 19.5 square miles (51 km2).
Founded in the 7th century at the confluence of the rivers Avon and Stour which flow into Christchurch Harbour, the town was originally named Twynham but became known as Christchurch following the construction of the priory in 1094. The town developed into an important trading port and was fortified in the 9th century. Further defences were added in the 12th century with the construction of a castle which was destroyed by the Parliamentarian Army during the English Civil War. During the 18th and 19th centuries smuggling flourished in Christchurch and became one of the town's most lucrative industries. The town was heavily fortified during Second World War as a precaution against an expected invasion and in 1940 an Airspeed factory was established on the town's airfield which manufactured aircraft for the Royal Air Force.
The town's harbour, beaches, nature reserves and historically important buildings have made Christchurch a popular tourist destination attracting some 1.5 million visitors a year. Bournemouth Airport, an international airport which handles approximately 800,000 passengers a year, is located within the borough boundary at Hurn. The airport's industrial park contains a number of aerospace and engineering businesses and is one of the largest employment sites in Dorset. Christchurch is a popular destination for retirees and has one of the oldest populations in the country with 30 per cent of residents aged over 65.
Christchurch is the most easterly coastal town of Dorset and lies within the historic county boundaries of Hampshire. The town abuts Bournemouth to the west and is approximately 9 miles (14 km) east of Poole, 20 miles (32 km) west of Southampton, 23 miles (37 km) south of Salisbury. The town centre lies between the rivers Avon and Stour which flow directly into Christchurch Harbour. The borough boundaries stretch to Hurn Forest in the north encompassing Bournemouth Airport and eastwards along the coast as far as Walkford.
Christchurch has some 199 kilometres (124 mi) of highway of which 24 kilometres (15 mi) are A roads, 32 kilometres (20 mi) are B and C roads. Christchurch railway station is on the South Western Main Line from London Waterloo to Weymouth. Bournemouth Airport is situated in Hurn (a small village within the Christchurch Borough boundary) and is around 3.75 miles (6.04 km) north-west of Christchurch town centre.

BOURNEMOUTH BEACH - LUNCH AT URBAN REEF
We took a trip to Bournemouth to blow the cobwebs away. We bundled up all cosy and warm expecting it to be freezing only to be pleasantly surprised when the sun shone down on us, we even felt brave enough to have an ice cream!
The kids always wanted to visit the arcades on the pier so we popped in and played on some of the games. I remember the feeling of excitement as a child entering that gloomy world of weird noises and flashing lights and how my heart raced when I almost got a teddy from the claw machine. Almost.......
