The Cellar Door - S03E08 - Plantagenet Wines & Rockcliffe
In this week's episode, The Cellar Door we head to the hidden gem of Western Australia, the beautiful Great Southern wine region, during the end of the Autumn of 2019.
First, our host Clare Burder visits one of the region's most established wineries, Plantagenet Wines in Mount Barker. Then, just a short trek to the sleepy small town of Denmark, where Clare spends some time with Steve at Rockcliffe.
In between, Clare takes a small departure from her wine journey by visiting the Margaret River Distilling Company's award winning Limeburners, and the laid-back legends at Wilson Brewing, both in Albany.
It's another fun episode, we hope you enjoy!

Renewable Energy - Kings of Funk @ Rockcliffe Jan' 2017

LYRICS:
Renewable Energy (x4)
Hey listen – we wanna have a good life and lots of fun.
We got all the energy for our daily needs - with the power of the wind and sun.
Reduce the use, redesign our lives, get together now and get it done.
The rapid rising of renewables - brings clean energy for everyone
You know we’ve got a positive plan - we’re laying it across the land.
C’mon - We gonna take a stand - ‘coz the future’s in our hands!
Renewable Energy (x4)
Say what about the b-b-b-b-base-load? Have you heard of the salty solar tower?
With the wind and the waves and the sunshine - Making 24-hour renewable power.
Together we can meet our energy needs - through the day & through the night.
With our grids and systems linking up - You know that we can do it right!
You know we’ve got a positive plan - we’re laying it across the land.
C’mon - We gonna take a stand - ‘coz the future’s in our hands!
Renewable Energy (x4)
(Solo)
It’s not a question of technology - ‘coz we’ve got all that we need,
To make our energy clean, green and cheap – got to get together with all speed.
It’s just a question of political sense – in the heads of those who lead.
Well, people power is the voice of the hour – so they better all take heed!
Renewable Energy (x8)

Whole Lotta Dub - Rastatrix - Rockcliffe Dec 2012
Reggae Riddems filled the air as RASTATRIX played one Sunday afternoon at Rockcliffe Winery, Denmark ,Western Australia.
The south-west reggae masters poured their hearts and souls into this heavy dub reggae of Led Zeppelin's hard rock anthem Whole Lotta Love - based on an arrangement by the Elvis look-alike front-personed concept band Dread Zeppelin. Rastatrix give the song a rockier edge, influenced by the pub-rock/hard rock environment many of Australia's working bands evolve in. For Rastatrix front-person David Rastrick (aka Trumpet Dave) it is a return to his early hard rock roots and a contribution to - or reflection of - a musical evolution of West Australian musical culture.
The middle section of the song features some wild soundscaping by keyboardist Mark Cresp and guitarist Orbital Xander Rowden, carving up over a solid rhythm laid down by drummer Mark Gretton and the groups then bass-player Katie J White.
