Wines from Temecula Valley: California's rapidly growing wine region
When someone asks you to name a wine region in California, what would you say? Odds are that you (and most people) would name off Napa Valley first. Possibly Sonoma second. Temecula Valley would probably be far down the list, but it is one of the fastest growing regions in the state. Ever had their wine?

Weekend in Temecula
November 3-5th, 2017 | It's been a while putting together some of our memories, but without further ado, here is a little snapshot of our weekend getaway in Temecula. We went to our first winery together and just as we love these kinds of experiences, had our very own cute and quaint little cottage . Cheers to our chapter 2!

Black Stallion Winery_SlowMix, Black Stallion Winery, Napa Valley, California, USA
You are cordially invited to experience the warm hospitality and classic beauty of the Stallion Winery. Located on the grounds of a historic equestrian center, the Black Stallion Winery has been renovated with reclaimed materials and luxurious furnishings to evoke the rugged sophistication of early California. With our large circular tasting bar, expansive terrace and private tasting rooms, we've created an inviting space where you can spread out, relax, and enjoy the ultimate wine country experience.
After months of extensive renovation, Black Stallion Winery opened its doors in May of 2007 to become the latest addition to the small collection of wineries in Napa Valley's newly designated Oak Knoll District. This appellation is distinguished by a temperate mezzo-climate that is frequently cooler than other regions of the Napa Valley, and is quickly gaining a reputation for producing wines that are both elegant and complex. Under the direction of winemaker Charles Hendricks, Black Stallion Winery will focus on creating ultra-premium wines of character and distinction. The current portfolio contains nine different varietals, including a cabernet sauvignon, a chardonnay and a dessert wine. Total case production for Black Stallion Winery's first vintage is 3,200 cases. All Black Stallion wines will be sold exclusively on location at the winery or through the website.

Accidental Sustainable Winegrowing and the Truth: Nick Palumbo at TEDxTemecula
Local winemaker and winegrower Nick Palumbo is the owner of Palumbo Family Winery and serves on the board of directors of the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association as Enology Co-Chair. Actively involved in the wine community since his arrival in the valley in 1998, Nick is helping to guide Temecula Wine Country and the region in a more quality minded and sustainable direction.
Through his own experience as well as his relationship with some of the best winemakers and specialty produce farmers in California Nick Palumbo has realized that focusing on the quality and flavor of your produce will have the added benefit of sustainable farming practices. It's not enough to say you want to be sustainable, you have to think about the truth and consequences of your farming, and by farming for quality you will accidentally become sustainable.
