Rockingham Shopping Centre
Rockingham Shopping Centre has been a fixture in the Rockingham area since it first opened its doors in 1970. The Centre recently completed a $160 million redevelopment in October 2009. The redevelopment saw the addition of a new Fresh Food Mall, a 500 seat Food Court, a Fashion Mall and an Entertainment and Lifestyle Precinct.
The Centre now boasts over 190 fresh food and specialty retailers, with Kmart, Coles, Woolworths and Target and the new 8 screen Ace Rockingham Cinema complex.
Rockingham - Ultimate Edit - Western Australia
Rockigham is one of the fastest growing areas in W.A. and sadly this will lead to over-crowing, traffic congestion and has already led to a loss of the 'country town' feel that it once had.
The area has some remarkable attractions and the proximity to Perth means that it attracts many visitors during the warmer months.
A short 45 minute drive from Perth, Rockingham (or swinging pig as it is sometimes called by the locals) offers safe swimming beaches, boating, fishing and sight seeing. The large shopping complex at Rockingham City offers a variety of goods.
The area is somewhat spoiled by the industrial strip along the coast to the north. What would have been one of the world's most picturesque bays, the Cockburn (not surprisingly pronounced Coh-burn) Sound area is now cluttered with heavy industry.
The sound was named after Vice Admiral Sir George Cockburn.

Where the Coast Comes to Life - Rockingham, Western Australia
WHY I CHOSE ROCKINGHAM WA WESTERN AUSTRALIA AND HISTORY OF ROCKINGHAM PART 1 OF 3
Rockingham is a suburb and regional centre south-west of the Perth city centre and south of Fremantle. It has a beachside location at Mangles Bay, the southern extremity of Cockburn Sound. To its north stretches the maritime and resource-industry installations of Kwinana, Western Australia and Henderson. Offshore to the north-west is Australia's largest naval fleet and submarine base, Garden Island, connected to the mainland by an all-weather causeway. Rockingham was first surveyed in 1847, it was gazetted as a town in 1897. In its early days, Rockingham was a busy port, shipping jarrah timber and sandalwood overseas. Now, as a satellite city in Perth's southern corridor, together with Mandurah, it is among Australia's fastest-growing residential districts. The maritime tradition has been strengthened by steady growth of the Royal Australian Navy's main fleet base HMAS Stirling and by the development of major shipbuilding and marine support services at nearby Henderson. Since the nineteeth century, abundant sightseeing and recreational attributes have been the basis of a tourism industry. Visitors can launch small boats or board ferries to view dolphins, seals, pelicans and penguins in the adjacent Marine Park. The coast at nearby Safety Bay is ideal for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Generous free barbecues and picnic facilities are provided on the seafront, supplementing a choice of hotels and restaurants. Rockingham City Shopping Centre[3] is the regional centre which attracts significant non-local business, having a licence to trade on Sundays during public and school holidays.

Homelessness in Rockingham 2019
WA HOMELESS SEND MESSAGE TO LABOR | You may have seen the shocking story about people living in bush camps on the fringes of Perth in recent days.
I visited one this week with our federal candidate Travis Carter for Brand - Pauline Hanson One Nation
It's hard to understand how these people are living in these conditions in our beautiful city, in 2019. They've sent a message to our Premier Mark McGowan..
