I had the opportunity to finally see the new space the insect collection at Colorado State University was moved into. I explored some of the insect cabinets and decided to show you what I found. I only covered the main room.

Medieval America episode 29: Wyoming
A Happy fourth of July to you!
In this video I travel through the 29th state (Wyoming) on my journey around this beautiful country of America. We stop at the Devil’s tower in the east and then at Yellowstone Park in the west. And I talk a little bit about my journey and how beautiful America is. This is a fitting talk and video on this fourth of July.
In the next installment of my Medieval America series I am going to tell you the story of how and why I am seeing America; and how it took me 40 years to bring this dream into reality.
I spent 5 days in Wyoming visiting Devil’s Tower, Yellowstone National Park, Gillette and Cody. Then after this I drive into Montana and make my first stop in Bozeman.

Blizzards Sculpt The History of the Ranch
Over the last 133 years the ranch has stood up to many challenges but none so intimidating as the blizzards that can strike Wyoming.
Beginning in 1886, settlers had to contend and adapt to something that is beyond our control. Preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. Today we look at the history of major blizzards and how they shaped how we ranch and live our lives.
A special thanks to the Rockpile Museum in Gillette Wyoming for all their help and the use of video and pictures featured here. Check them out at

Work and Travel - Gillette Wyoming
Day 7 Gillette, WY
Day seven already?! Holy cow this is going by way too fast! Today we awoke to breakfast (well at least Aubrie and I did, Abbie was too lazy to get out of bed) and quickly got ready before we hit the road. We drove about 2 hours until we reached Gillette, Wyoming. They have very nice vey big houses here. They're very pretty. Gillette seems bigger than it is because it is so spread out, its really only about 30,000 people. We found our hotel, which is ironically the hotel we complained about NOT staying in last year because it is right across the street from where we performed LAST YEAR. Emphasis on the last year because we DID NOT perform there this year, we performed in town closer to where we stayed last year. Crazy right?! We got to our hotel and found out that our rooms were not ready yet, so we ventured back out into the city and found a Wendy's...again. Yum! After an hour we went back to the hotel to find that our rooms were STILL not done! We sat in the lobby and did homework for about an hour and a half. They told us then that our rooms were ready so we checked in and went upstairs. As it turns out, our room was NOT ready, but Mrs. Wooley's was. So we hung out in her room for a while and finally Aubrie went to ask the lady if she could do our room next. When our room was done (3 hours after we first got to the hotel) we turned on the TV. I don't remember a whole lot of what else happened because I instantly fell asleep. Once I was awake again we found our way to the high school. They unfortunately did not have a loading dock so we had to carry everything in through the front door. There aren't any interesting back stage stories for today because we were all just so tired! Our show went really well in my opinion. We had a good sized crowd and some adorable little kids. There was one kid our age who had come with his friends but his friends all left him. He, being a theatre geek, decided to stay and watch the show. We heard him laugh through the whole entire thing! It was great! After the show we find out that there IS a loading dock, or at least a door closer than the one we came in from! So we started to load up the van. Did I mention it was storming? Because it was. A lot. This kind young women name Demi stopped on her way home after FCA (fellowship of Christian athletes) and offered to help us load up the van. She was a life-saver! After checking the weather and deciding it was safe to drive, we found a Perkins where we had the nicest waitress ever! Her name was Brittany, we got a picture with her. We finally came back to the hotel and we went swimming again! This time Abbie was not allowed to touch the buttons controlling the hot tub in fear that she would push the red button again! Now we're all chilling in the hotel room. I'm writing up the blog, Aubrie's finishing some homework and Abbie is in the shower.
Until tomorrow!
Signing off,
Rowan Glass
P.S. I'm dearly and sincerely sorry if this video was a bit of a let down in the comedic department. We all are totally and completely exhausted and wiped out! Hopefully tomorrow will be better!
