Another video shot with my drone at Rockway Falls Conversation. Located in Rockway, near St. Catherine’s, water rushing over the Escarpment from 15 Mile Creek, this is a ramp type of waterfall 45 ft tall and a crest of approximately 15 ft., expanding towards the base and with heavy flow.
Rockway Falls
Rockway Falls is located on 15 Mile Creek in Lincoln, Ontario. Not far off the QEW at St. Catherines, this waterfall is an easily accessible, yet somewhat unknown gem. Simply park at the Rockway Community Centre and a short hike will take you to the base of the falls.
The main waterfall has a 60 feet drop over what is considered a ramp waterfall. There are several small drops downstream. The main waterfall falls over the same cliff that the nearby Niagara Falls do. The Niagara Escarpment runs from Niagara Falls to Tobermory and beyond. Rockway is just one of many waterfalls over this distance.
Rockway Conservative Area - Lincoln, Ontario
This has been a spot i’ve wanted to hike for awhile. With Spring thaw in effect I knew the waterfall would be following very well. This was a very challenging hike, especially towards the end to actually climb up to the waterfall which i didn’t get on GoPro because it needed both hands to climb. The dogs had a great time just running around freely and so did I exploring this great area.

Rockway Falls - Chasing Waterfalls Ep. 7
Rockway was my favourite of the waterfalls we explored in the Niagara area. We originally visited in August and then again in October, and the water volume was greatly increased for our second visit.
There are two main waterfalls, the larger of which plunges from a height of 19.5 meters (63 ft), and the smaller from a height of 12.2 meters. The watercourse continues downriver, surging over a series of rapids.

This shows high lake levels at the beach along with the erosion effects. Where the road circles, there were carp swimming on the road and in the grass.

Duchesnay Falls
Duchesnay Falls is located just west of North Bay along Hwy 17 on Duchesnay Creek. Like many of the waterfalls on the Canadian Shield, this is a long cascade consisting of many drops and several twists and turns. The two largest drops are each around 15 feet high.
