Aventicum
Recent archaeological finds in Switzerland's former capital, Avenches, prove that that the city the Romans named Aventicum was much larger and more important than historians had supposed. Ancient artefacts are being uncovered every day in the colony that was once home to 20 thousand people. (swissinfo archive, Julie Hunt)
