A sample of Miao/Xongb (Gho Xiong) news in Xiangxi, Hunan, China
I finally found a sample of their news!
This is the eastern Miao language!
These Miao people call themselves Gho Xiong (Qos Xyooj in Hmong language). Normally, they are known as the Red Miao (Hmoob Liab).
Their words are different than ours which you won't be able to understand them as much like the central Miao language. Based on some chinese characters that I know, and listening to their language, I can pick a very few small Hmong similar words to theirs, but it's not a lot.
This piece of news is about Miao/Gho Xiong's dishes. Gho Xiong dishes are usually sour, while Hmong dishes in China are usually spicy. I'm talking about authentic Hmong foods/dishes in China.
The first dish is a tofu dish. It seemed as it is consisted of tofu, mashed-up pea powder, green onion, chili pepper, chopped vegetables, and sour vegetables. I'm not exactly sure, but that's what it seems like.
The second dish that the old woman was also making is another sour vegetable dish.
[苗族电影 | Miao/Hmong Movie]: Charming Dresses of the Miao Nationality (苗岭霓裳) 2013 - Part 1 ENG SUBBED
PLEASE READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION BELOW SO THAT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THIS MOVIE BETTER.
PART 1 - ENGLISH SUBBED ONLY! NO HMONG DUB. NTAWV ASKIV XWB. TSIS MUAJ TXHAIS UA LUS HMOOB.
These Hmong people portrayed in the movie are the Hmong of the Changning county in Yunnan province. (Changning Miao)
NOTE: If you are watching this movie from your phone, ipod, tablets, or other kinds of mobile devices, please remember to put on your headphones, or you won't hear the sound correctly. This is the video's sound problem, but watching it on the computer, or laptop will be fine. It is also better to watch on the computer, or laptop because I put extra annotation notes on parts of the movie where it wasn't sub, so that you can understand the movie better.
NOTE 2: Kuv yuav tsis ua subtitle Hmoob, tiamsis yog muaj tib neeg ntau ua xav kom kuv ua subtitle rau peb cov Hmoob ua tsis paub lus Askiv, lus Suav, ces kuv siv lub sij hawm los ua. Yog tsis muaj tib neeg ntau ces kuv yuav tsis ua vim yeej yuav siv kuv li sij hawm ntev ntev thiab. Kuv laj laj ua thiab nawb.
So here is update on the movie WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES! Finally right! I've just went with the movie's title because I don't want to confuse anyone. This was the previous video I put as Miao Rainbow-Colored Clothing. This movie also goes as The Sumptuous Garments of the Miao Nationality. This film was released in 2013 and made in Yunnan, China.
STORYLINE: In Mi Cai's family heritage line, there lies the sacred designs of the Miao Five-Colored clothing. The designs was printed on a piece of leather to help make the Five-Colored clothing. Because this Five-Colored clothing was viewed as a sign of capitalism among the Miao during the Chinese cultural revolution, the lead Chinese communist government wanted to get rid of all of the Five-Colored clothing among the Miao. As the designs was lost due to unfortunate events surrounding Mi Cai's mother, it was Mi Cai's job to find the original designs and continue to make the Five-Colored clothing that was lost during the cultural revolution as a promise to her decreased grandmother.
As Mi Cai was finding the original designs, Gao Yi, who is a dance drama choreographer, was also interested in finding the lost Five-Colored clothing designs. Both have met each other with bad impressions. Because of Gao Yi's poor overview of Miao clothing, and the criticism on his Miao clothing-themed dance drama show that Mi Cai gave, he wanted to find the authenticity of the real Five-Colored clothing along with Mi Cai. While trying to find all the clues to the lost designs, a love story also blooms with unimaginable of twist-and-turn events.
HISTORY BACKGROUND INFORMATION: (Restatement from my friend) During the Chinese cultural revolution, the lead Chinese communist government have tried and did destroyed many cultural artifacts among all the people in China as to assimilate all people in China as one. The government also didn't want any superstitious things, and superstitions among the people. These cultural artifacts were as old since from ancient times.
While you watch this movie, you'll understand what is happening in the film.
A sample of Miao/Hmub news in HuangPing, Guizhou, China
Here is a sample of Hmub (Hmeb) news in Guizhou, China.
I don't do any Miao/Hmong/Hmub/Xiong news from China updates at all.

Hmong History : Descendants of Houyi - The Gejia People
Ka Yuam is a famous Hmong legendary story of a hero who shot down multiple suns. Ka Yuam is the Western Hmong name for Houyi. The story of Houyi originated from the Dong Yi, an ancestral people of the Miao once lived in Eastern China.
Live in Guizhou Province, China, the Gejia People who called themselves Ge Mong and Ge Dou by other Miao groups do not see themselves as Miao and want to be reclassified. Despite numerous attempts to be classified as a distinct ethnic group, the Gejia are relatively and culturally Miao like their neighboring Miao brothers and sisters who called themselves Gho Xiong, De Xiong, Hmu, Ka Nao, Gha Mu, A-Hmao, Hmong....
The Gejia once speak a similar dialect to the Western Miao (Hmong); however, due to their close proximity with the Central Miao, the Gejia's dialect has shifted. The Gejia are descendants of Houyi (Ka Yuam).

SUMMARY
=======
The Miao is an ethnic group belonging to South China, and is recognized by the government of China as one of the 55 official minority groups. Miao is a Chinese term and does not reflect the self-designations of the component groups of people, which include (with some variant spellings) Hmong, Hmub, Xong (Qo-Xiong), and A-Hmao.
The Chinese government has grouped these people and other non-Miao peoples together as one group, whose members may not necessarily be either linguistically or culturally related, though the majority are members of Miao-Yao language family, which includes the Hmong, Hmub, Xong and A-Hmao and the majority do share cultural similarities. Because of the previously given reasons, many Miao peoples cannot communicate with each other in their native tongues and have different histories and cultures. A few groups designated as Miao by the PRC do not even agree that they belong to the ethnic group, though most Miao groups, such as the Hmong and Hmub, do agree with the collective grouping as a single ethnic group – Miao.
The Miao live primarily in southern China's mountains, in the provinces of Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Guangdong and Hainan. Some sub-groups of the Miao, most notably the Hmong people, have migrated out of China into Southeast Asia (Burma (Myanmar), northern Vietnam, Laos and Thailand). Following the communist takeover of Laos in 1975, a large group of Hmong refugees resettled in several Western nations, mainly in the United States, France, and Australia. There has been a recent tendency by Hmong Americans to group all Miao peoples together under the term Hmong because of their disdain for the Chinese term Miao. This, however, fails to recognize that the Hmong are only a subgroup within the broader linguistic and cultural family of Miao people and the vast majority of Miao people do not classify themselves as Hmong and have their own names for themselves.
王飞鸿 Wang Fei Hong (Ft. 阿幼朵 AYouDuo) - 苗山侗水 (Miao Mountain; Dong River)
VERSION 1
Wang Fei Hong from China
Fei Hong (Vaj) los ntawm Suav Teb / Tsoob Kuj
Song | Zaj Nkauj: 苗山侗水 | Miao Mountain; Dong Water | Roob Hmoob Dej Toom
Note: AYouDuo isn't actually in the music video, nor sing a part. She is actually the background voice and gave this song a little touch. :) This song is actually quite old as well. This is a new 2014 version.
This is a love song that talks about the beauty of the Hmong/Miao and Dong homeland and finding a Miao or Dong woman to court with his Kheng (Qeej / Lusheng) while the the Miao or Dong woman sings and dance back. Nothing will stop the man for that he only loves the woman. (This is based off from my understanding of the song, so if I gave the wrong information, I will update it!)
For those who don't know, ethnic Dong people are a minority in China that lives closely to Hmub, Nplaw, Qos Noog etc. (Black Hmong/Miao groups) of the Hmong/Miao people.
王飞鸿 Wang Fei Hong is an ethnic Miao (Central Miao Hmu - Hmoob Hmub Hmoob Dub). He was born on July 20th (the year is unknown). He was born in Kaili County, Qiandongnan, Guizhou. He is also an actor and have been in several films and TV shows (probably the ones most of us don't know). He also sings and produced various songs too. He is also famous for his Bruce Lee look and known to be the Miao Bruce Lee. His role model is also Bruce Lee as well since he was a young child growing up. He is good and learned various martial arts as well.

SUMMARY
=======
The Zhuang languages (autonym: Vahcuengh, pre-1982: Vaƅcueŋƅ, Sawndip: 話僮, from vah 'language' and Cuengh 'Zhuang'; simplified Chinese: 壮语; traditional Chinese: 壯語; pinyin: Zhuàngyǔ) are any of more than a dozen Tai languages spoken by the Zhuang people of southern China in the province of Guangxi and adjacent parts of Yunnan and Guangdong. The Zhuang languages do not form a monophyletic linguistic unit, as northern and southern Zhuang languages are more closely related to other Tai languages than to each other. Northern Zhuang languages form a dialect continuum with Northern Tai varieties across the provincial border in Guizhou, which are designated as Bouyei, whereas Southern Zhuang languages form another dialect continuum with Central Tai varieties such as Nung, Tay and Caolan in Vietnam.Standard Zhuang is based on the northern Zhuang dialect of Wuming.
The Tai languages are believed to have been originally spoken in what is now southern China, with speakers of the Southwestern Tai languages (which include Thai, Lao and Shan) having emigrated in the face of Chinese expansion.
Noting that both the Zhuang and Thai peoples have the same exonym for the Vietnamese, kɛɛuA1, from the Chinese commandery of Jiaozhi in northern Vietnam, Jerold A. Edmondson posited that the split between Zhuang and the Southwestern Tai languages happened no earlier than the founding of Jiaozhi in 112 BC. He also argues that the departure of the Thai from southern China must predate the 5th century AD, when the Tai who remained in China began to take family names.
