Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, Cheshire - A Hand Picked Hotel
Built in 1816 for the wealthy William Hilton Cooke, Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa has continued to move with the times. In 1867 the ‘French chateau’ tower was added, in 1990 a new wing was created and in 2007 the property was enhanced with a health club and spa, stylish new executive bedrooms and conference and banqueting centre. Yet alongside these contemporary touches there remains something timeless about the house: a relaxed, homely atmosphere and service that makes you feel extra special.
Not only is the hotel a truly romantic wedding venue, it is one of the best located meeting venues in Cheshire, offering tailored all inclusive day and residential packages. Whatever your reason for visiting, you will get a warm welcome at the Old Stables, which has been developed into a fantastic health club and spa with treatment rooms, swimming pool, gym and hydrotherapy pool.
South Cheshire Flyover - drone footage DJI Phantom 3 Standard
This is my first flight where I had to rely purely on the instrumentation for flying, instead of seeing the drone - went up to FAA's maximum allowable height of 120 meters and flew around the neighborhood - at 120 meters, I can no longer see it or hear it. So anxious to safely bring the bird back, but managed it. Fun!

New Hall Hotel & Spa - A Hand Picked Hotel
A fine example of late medieval architecture, New Hall Hotel, Birmingham, is as majestic as it is magical. It started life as a manor house built by the Earl of Warwick as a hunting lodge in the 13th century, giving it the reputation today of being England’s oldest listed inhabited moated house.
At 800 years old, New Hall Hotel, Sutton Coldfield has a long history of offering exceptional hospitality to discerning guests. This 60-bedroom, four star hotel is widely held to be the most desirable wedding venue in the Birmingham area. This will come as no surprise once you have seen for yourself its 26 acres of richly timbered land, thick pasture and elegant gardens, not to mention the interiors.
The list has now been checked and these are all the pairs in the correct order.

Welham Green Charters 171009
A morning visit to Welham Green on the ECML on Saturday 17th October to catch 2 charters heading into London Kings Cross. First up is 86702 with 86701 DOR working a private charter from Newcastle-London Kings Cross, which is the first passenger working for the overhauled 86/7s. ETL operate these locos and are available for spot-hire. The 2nd charter was 46233 'Duchess of Sutherland' operating from Sheffield-Kings Cross with 47786 DOR, a significant run as now the loco has now run out of time on her 'boiler ticket' which means she won't be out again for a while!
