This isn't your average outing or everyday experience—Breakout is for those who would rather solve mysteries than watch someone else have all the fun. With different rooms that follow unique storylines, you and your friends will have 60 minutes to escape your adventure of choice by cracking codes, solving puzzles and following clues. Part problem solving, part adrenaline, end-to-end fun.
What are Escape Rooms?
Your team assembles inside a themed room—it could be a prison cell or a ritzy casino. A game master explains the challenge and exits the room. The door closes. The clock begins counting down from 60 minutes. Your team scatters to examine every inch of the space and find clues. Does this mystery scroll hold the key? What about this blinking purple light? And what do these footprints on the floor mean? The escape room adventure has begun! The clock is ticking! Are you and your friends smart enough to solve the mystery and escape?
Escape rooms are a fun, safe, hour-long adventure where you and your friends must discover clues and solve a mystery to escape a locked room. Inspired by popular escape-the-room video games, it's a beat-the-clock adventure that relies on the cunning of you and your teammates. Simply put, escape rooms are more fun than playing Candy Crush on your phone for the zillionth time, more exciting than going to the movies, and a lot more intellectually stimulating than playing laser tag or paintball. The first escape room opened in the United States in 2012 and now there are over 1,750 locations. What explains the surge in popularity in such a short time span? According to Scott Nicholson, a professor of game design and development at Wilfrid Laurier University, players eager to look at something other than a glowing screen are flocking to games in the physical world for face-to-face engagement opportunities. (source)
Additionally, escape rooms are an inclusive game that can be played by just about anyone. These locked-room adventures are perfect for all ages and physical abilities and your team can be made up of family, friends, or coworkers. When booking an escape room experience keep in mind you'll generally need a minimum of two people or a maximum of 7-8 in order to play.

Room Description:
Harry Houdini was the world’s foremost illusionist and escape artist. On his deathbed, he made a pact with his devoted wife, Bess, that he would attempt to communicate with her from the hereafter. To confirm his presence, Harry was to reveal the phrase “Rosabel, Believe”, a reference to his and Bess’ favorite musical tune.
Every year since, on the anniversary of her husband’s death, October 31st, 1926, Bess has performed a seance at the Knickerbocker Hotel desperately hoping to contact her husband one last time.
The year is 1936, and after her tenth attempt, Bess has just publicly conceded defeat:
“My last hope is gone. I do not believe that Houdini can come back to me or to anyone. The Houdini Shrine has burned for ten years. I now reverently turn out the lights. Good night, Harry.”
However, not everyone present at the final seance believed things were truly over. A cryptic note in Houdini’s manager’s will said “ I have spoken to Harry and discovered a path to contact the other side. The steps are laid out in front of you in plain site. Find my notes and you will be granted access to the underworld.”
Your mission is to unravel the clues and contact Houdini before midnight strikes and the hotel removes the shrine and closes the door forever. You are the last chance to reunite Harry and Bess before they are separated for eternity.

Things to Do in Chicago | 3/5/2013 | Concierge Picks | Chicago Travel
Picasso and Chicago, the new exhibit at the Art Institute, celebrates the unique relationship between the most important artist of the 20th century and the city of Chicago. In 1913, The Art Institute was the first museum in the United States to exhibit the unknown artist's work thereby introducing the city and it's collectors to modern art. This exhibit features over 250 paintings, sculpture, prints, & drawings from the Art Institute's vast Picasso holdings as well as those of local collectors—the first large scale exhibit mounted by the museum in 30 years. This magnificent exhibit includes works from Picasso's Red, Blue, Cubist and Classical periods. It also tells the story of the Chicago Picasso in Daley Plaza. Near the end of his career, the great artist gave Chicago an untitled steel sculpture that has since become an indelible image of the city and has linked Chicago & Picasso together for eternity. The exhibit runs through May 12th.

Ghost screaming in haunted hotel - FULL LENGTH
WATCH the full length Documentary at: blackwellghost.com
**UPDATE: Due to legal matters, I am not allowed to say any more information regarding the exact location of this hotel. Please stop asking. Thank you!
This video was submitted to us by the hotel security manager who was standing watch on September 14, 2003 at a WINGATE HOTEL in Illinois. His voice can be heard in the background of the recording.
According to him, people staying at the hotel began calling in noise complaints to the front desk with reports of loud screaming coming from the 2nd floor--particularly room #209. There is no known history to the room according to our investigation. However, upon further review, we found that over the years, multiple complaints of strange noises were reported to be coming from the room. This is the only known recording of it.
Note to comments:
It's funny how people think this video is edited/fake. The audio is a mix down between the security camera audio and a separate recording from inside the office (which is specifically there to record in case of robbery to the hotel). People will always come to there own conclusions why a video is fake (like cameras pointed at the door). What they don't realized is that there are about 80 cameras in the hallways around the hotel, all pointing at doors and hallways.

The following is a transcript of the video:
Cartel Wives: So during 2005 to 2008 our husbands trafficked $2 billion to Mexico. And we would see these houses full of money. You know, they had hydraulic walls that would just come out like 007 with millions of dollars. We would have a room full of money. $1-$2 million sitting in the room, you know, for us to grab at our expense and that was usual. They had workers that worked there, you know, eight-hour shifts, three shifts per day just counting money and they would count maybe a million dollars in a couple hours and run it through the machines. And we're talking, you know, fives and tens and ones, we're talking street money. Now did we benefit from it? Did we live a good life? Yes, of course, we did. We were spoiled, we ate well, we traveled, we would sometimes want to stay on vacation for a month on the beach and just live life to its fullest but at the end of the day we wanted to denounce that life and we knew what mattered to us was love and family and simplicity.
