Escape Rooms New Zealand
Escape rooms are real-life games whereby you and your team will be placed in a themed room of your choice. In order to ‘escape’, you are required to go through the process of problem solving and elimination and crack a series of puzzles as well as logical mind games while utilizing a wide array of technology to decipher codes and locks, all the while racing against the clock! Escape Rooms New Zealand is a game that is suited for everyone – the hawk-eyed observer, the intellectual, the motivated enthusiasts and the quick thinkers. Gather your best bunch of friends, your date, family or colleagues and work as a team to escape before your time is up! escaperoomsnewzealand.com

Tea Tasting at Zealong - New Zealand's Biggest Gap Year – Backpacker Guide New Zealand
Day 16: Today we are taking a tour and tea tasting at Zealong in Hamilton! Zealong is New Zealand’s only tea plantation and today’s activity for New Zealand’s Biggest Gap Year!
Yesterday - Day 15 -
Tomorrow – Day 17 –
About this video:
Today we are in Hamilton in the Waikato region of New Zealand, where New Zealand’s only tea plantation is: Zealong! We hit the road to the Zealong Tea Estate for a surprisingly affordable tour and tea tasting.
Our guide tells us the history, as well as the process of tea making at Zealong Tea Estate. We learn how tea made its way from Asia to New Zealand before going into the tasting rooms to taste some Zealong Tea! It’s definitely a new experience for us – tasting tea at Zealong with many different cups, saucers and other utensils. It’s like a wonderful science experiment.
We taste around seven different fabulous teas at Zealong then do into the dining room for some amazing afternoon tea at Zealong: cakes, pastries, scones and so much more!
The evening ends at the Hamilton Central Backpaclers right in the city centre of Hamilton in the Waikato region of New Zealand. Thanks for joining us today! See you tomorrow!

NSU ft. Squeezer - Juice of Life (Soul Science Remix) NCMR006LP
I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my dream. It's my nightmare.
Going deep into the jungle in search of the mysterious and highly decorated colonel NSU, what is it that the Soul Science boys will truly find as they journey deeper into the heart of darkness, the magnetic pull of the strange and compelling colonel, primal tribal energies that dwell in the soul, the JUICE OF LIFE.
Available now in digital format from: Bandcamp Apple iTunes JunoDownload.com AmazonMP3
The first release for 2011 by nsu is a downbeat/ambient remix concept album, showcasing the work of a select group of producers from all around New Zealand. The album is titled Rescapé (French for survivor), a play on the title of the 2009 EP Escape, and its release signals a game-changer:
Having released a couple of remix singles last year, primarily focusing around styles such as dubstep, breakbeat, house, electro and techno, I wanted to flip the coin and move away from the dance floor in order put the spotlight on the more laid-back genres, while staying true to the remix art form. The intention is to have something that, regardless of the environment, encourages people to listen and allow inside their headspace, rather than have an hour full of slamming rhythms and pulverising basslines. -- Ivan Vuković (IV), nsu
Collaborations are the key strength of the album, as the compilation features new versions of previously released nsu tracks put together by handpicked producers:
I love the concept of a remix and hearing how other musicians construct their own interpretations of my work. As a result I was keen to put together a full-length album project that involved artists from around the country whose work I have admired over the years -- the bonus here is, I can refer to most of these guys as my friends. I love working together with other people and I'm very proud of the outcome on this album -- it plays very nicely from start to end. -- IV
The album features sublime new work from respected New Zealand artists such as Auckland's Dub Asylum and Soul Science, 762 (one half of Sick Cycle from Christchurch), Raglan's Felix Deluxe and Jason Lurman (from Hamilton instrumental rock band Sora Shima), as well as chill-out specialists from the South Island -- Invader Tron (CHCH), Sharkweek (Dunedin) and Stray Theories (Timaru). nsu also delivers two of his own fresh new reworks, including a collaboration with Haszari of the Cartoon Beats fame.

Go-Karting in Queenstown – New Zealand's Biggest Gap Year – Backpacker Guide New Zealand
Day 140: Today we are finding the ultimate rainy day activity in Queenstown! We head to Game Over to do some go-karting in Queenstown plus laser tag and more at this indoor activity centre in Queenstown.

30 Tips for Backpacking in New Zealand ➜
-- About this video --
It’s raining in Queenstown! Our activity is cancelled so we need to find something else to do in Queenstown or else this won’t be 365 Days: 365 Activities. We’ve found just the place!
We hop on a bus to The Remarkables Shopping Centre in Frankton just outside of Queenstown to Game Over Queenstown. This is an indoor activity in Queenstown so perfect for a rainy day like today.
Before we hit the go-karts, we have a round of laser tag which is pretty damn hilarious. Queenstown has been taken over by dinosaurs so we shoot them and each other for points. Fun!
Then we get onto the go-karts! This indoor go-karts with electric engines are super fast and a great way to get competitive. We give ourselves racer names then hit the go-kart tracks. We have around 14 laps to battle it out with lots of sharp corners, underpasses and overpasses. There’s a lot of screeching of tyres and foots on the peddle!
Go-kart racing in Queenstown was our rainy day saviour today and so much fun. We round our time at Game Over with a quick play of the escape room laser game before heading back to Queenstown.
So what do you think of Game Over Queenstown? Would you do any Queenstown laser tag or Queenstown go karting? LUK in the comments!
