Doctor Watsons daagt jou en je vrienden uit voor een real life game in de mysterieuze kelder van de Arminiuskerk. Het historische monument naast de Witte de Withstraat. De escape rooms voelen aan alsof je teruggaat in de geschiedenis van de kerk en Rotterdam. Het avontuur neemt je mee naar vervlogen tijden in de 19e eeuw, al zijn de oplossingen voor de raadsels hedendaags.
Beide kamers zijn gevuld met raadsels, cryptogrammen en échte hersenbrekers. Rotterdam Escape Room biedt een geweldige ervaring met vrienden, familie of collega’s!
Binnen de escape rooms is samenwerken belangrijk. In beide kamers bevinden zich aanwijzingen en attributen om mysteries te ontrafelen en om je weg naar buiten op tijd te vinden. Communicatie is hierin de ‘key’. Wanneer je goed met elkaar communiceert is de kans groter dat jullie de opdrachten halen en op tijd de escape rooms kunnen verlaten.

Instead of watching a movie, we invite you to step right in the middle of it. Prison Escape is an epic real life interactive gaming experience that gives you the feeling you’ve entered your own movie. You dictate the story by making crucial decisions that could lead to your escape.
In this 3-hour long immersive experience we have 80 professional interactive actors, theatrical scenes, challenging gameplay and many storylines and escapes to discover. Per game we host up to 420 players simultaneously.
Prison Escape is organised on a monumental location, namely the infamous dome prison de Boschpoort in Breda, the Netherlands.

Prison Escape is de enige echte “prison escape” beleving ter wereld en is nergens anders te ervaren. Tijdens de 3 uur durende beleving geven wij deelnemers het gevoel dat ze de hoofdrolspeler zijn in hun eigen film. Een escape room is een attractie waarin je met een groep wordt opgesloten in een kamer. Eenmaal binnen maak je gebruik van cryptische aanwijzingen, die je stapje voor stapje verder brengen in het verhaal.
Als franchisenemer bij Escaping run je jouw eigen vestiging waarin meerdere escape rooms zijn gebouwd. Elke escape room heeft zijn eigen verhaal en is een beleving op zichzelf. Je draait de horeca en de attracties. Je bedenkt lokale marketingactiviteiten en voert deze ook uit. Samen met jouw team zorg je dat iedereen een geweldige beleving rijker de deur uit gaat! This talk was part of This happened Rotterdam #14.
Jan-Willem is a creative nerd, passionate about technology and creative work. Three years ago he started creating escape rooms in his spare time, which has now grown into the company popup-escape ( With popup-escape, he creates unique and custom escape rooms for company events. Topics and messages relevant to the client are incorporated into the games with a flair of technology.
In his talk, he will tell about his most recent project, an experience about climate change for Dutch governmental policy makers. He will explain how he incorporates the client’s wishes and high expectations and how he creates interesting puzzles matching the knowledge and experience of the different players. Where do you draw the line between fiction and reality? And how do you put everything in a game of one hour?
