5* LUXURY HALONG BAY CRUISE (ATHENA CRUISE) | Vietnam | Vlog 047

We head from Hanoi to Halong Bay for a trip of a lifetime on an Athena Luxury Cruise (2 day, 1 night) in Bai Tu Long & Halong Bay. We well and truly splurged for this trip but to say it was worth it would be an understatement. Everything from the food to the activities to the room was perfect and we had an amazing time!

We take you with us for the whole journey, do a room tour, show all of the amazing foods and this is only part/day 1! Stay tuned for our next video on the second day of this amazing trip.

Also as it turns out, if you go out of peak season (we went in February) then the crowds that you so frequently hear of in Halong Bay are almost non-existent.

Хало́нг (Холонг; вьетн. Vịnh Hạ Long) — бухта во Вьетнаме в провинции Куангнинь, популярное туристическое место. Входит в список всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО. Бухта находится в Тонкинском заливе Южно-китайского моря. Бухта включает в себя более 3000 островов, а также небольшие скалы, утёсы и пещеры. Площадь её составляет 1553 км²

Название «Ха Лонг» на местном диалекте означает «нисходящий дракон» или «место, где дракон спустился в море». Именно поэтому необычные оранжево-коричневые паруса на круизных кораблях имитируют перепончатые крылья дракона

Вплоть до 19 века залив называли «Эн Банг», «Люк Туй» или «Ван Дон». Только в конце 19 века на французских морских картах появилось название Халонг. До сих пор это название используется чаще всего. Очень часто встречается название Халонг Бэй

Бухта Халонг была местом нескольких военных сражений против прибрежных соседей Вьетнама. Этот лабиринт скал и каналов позволил вьетнамской армии три раза остановить китайских соседей. В конце XVIII века бухта служила убежищем для пиратов, которых китайские и вьетнамские власти долго не могли уничтожить.

В скалах залива Халонг находятся множество пещер различных форм и размеров, Самые популярные пещеры оборудованы под туристические аттракционы с помощью подсветки разноцветными лампами, что делает их похожими на подземные дворцы. Одна из таких красивейших пещер Sung Sot Cave - пещера Surprise (Сюрприз), куда обязательно привозят туристов. Здесь же находится и смотровая площадка на бухту Халонг

Причиной возникновения необычных по своей форме скал стало растворение известняков дождевыми водами. Дождевые потоки, столь обильные во влажном тропическом климате, век за веком вгрызались в известняк, придавая ему фантастические очертания, вымывая в них пещеры и гроты. Такое явление, именуемое геологами башенным карстом, встречается и в других местах нашей планеты.

У компании Rosa Cruise два судна. Мы бронировали круизную каюту на Rosa Boutique Cruise (Deluxe Double or Twin Room - 2 Days 1 Night). На судне всего 6 кают и две палубы. К услугам гостей номера с балконом с видом, кондиционером и собственной ванной комнатой. Площадь каюты 16 кв. м. Во время круиза на судне было всего 15-16 пассажиров

В стоимость не входил трансфер из Ханоя от отеля до Халонга и обратно. Это 3,5 часа в пути. Он оплачивался отдельно (40$ за двоих). Оплата бронирования производилась непосредственно на судне (карты не принимали)

Круиз очень понравился. Все организовано на высшем уровне. Цены Rosa Cruise в отличие от круизов на других судах не высокие

HALONG BAY DAY 2 | CAVE EXPLORATION | VIETNAMESE COOKING CLASS ON CRUISE

So this was our day 2 on Halong Bay cruise and it was equally interesting.
It started with Tai Chi class on the roof top followed by delicious breakfast and then the most interesting part of the tour which is cave exploration.
After cave exploration we came back on the cruise and had yummiest dinner ever.
Cooking class was something which we were always looking for and got to learn a very interesting Vietnamese dish which is spring roll.

All the activities on the cruise were so amazing that 2 days just passed by and time came that we offboarded. As usual we felt little sad thinking we would miss this cruise ride but at the same time we took back so many memories with us and moreover in the form of recorded videos of which we would create a vlog :)

В Халонге мы уже были один раз и тоже бронировали круиз с ночевкой. Но тогда нам не повезло. Из-за приближающегося тайфуна нас всех высадили на берег и мы второй день провели на суше.

В Ханое круизы можно купить везде: в турагентствах, в отелях. Здесь эта самая популярная экскурсия. Цены совершенно разные и определяются годом постройки судна. Мы заранее изучили этот вопрос и нам понравились цены и предложение компании Rosa Cruise. У компании два судна.

Overnight Ha Long Bay Cruise | Tenani

Ha Long Bay is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Could've spent way longer there but we did an overnight cruise through the bay, visited some caves, ate delicious food, and kayaked around islands. Definitely worth a visit. Another bucket list tick in Vietnam!
