We got a chance to visit Ross Castle while we were touring Killarney National Park in County Kerry, Ireland. Shot in September 2014.
Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park Ireland
Lauren and Pete explore the southwest of Ireland. They drive the famous Ring of Kerry and seek out the isolated Derrynane Beach. The next day they take a Jaunting Car tour of Killarney National Park. A short boat ride takes them to Innisfallen Island where they walk through the ruins of an Abbey. Finally, they finish the day exploring Ross Castle and the surrounding area. Explore the Outdoors!

This is Ireland in August, our trip to Killarney in County Kerry, Ireland.
We stayed at Killarney Park Hotel. Visited Ross Castle and Killarney National Park on foot, and took Killarney Shuttle Bus to Ladies View, The Lakes, Muck Ross Castle and Gardens, and Torc Waterfall. Breathtaking views.

This is our first day in Killarney: There’s SO much to do in Killarney, but so little time!
The Ring of Kerry itself is already 3.5 hours to tour all the way around, NON-STOP. We were only able to explore a fraction of it, and still experienced so many extraordinary sights!
It was chilly while we were there, so a lot of the food we chose were warm and soupy. We tried to stay faithful to Irish specialty dishes, all of which were DELICIOUS!
I hope you enjoyed this video, and consider traveling to the wonderful town of Killarney to experience its wonders!
Killarney-One of My Favorite Places in Ireland! (With Live Pub Performances)
Killarney, Ireland has a small town feel to it, like a quaint village. In my opinion, it has the best live Irish pub music in Ireland (which you will see and hear), and we went to pubs in five different Irish cities. Killarney is also a short ride away from Ross Castle and from getting a jaunting car (horse and carriage) ride back from the castle. It's also close to beautiful Killarney National Park and is a great place to start your Ring of Kerry tour.

Killarney - Ireland
Killarney is a town in County Kerry, southwestern Ireland. The town is located north of the MacGillicuddy Reeks, on the northeastern shore of the Lough Lein/Leane which are part of Killarney National Park. The town and its surrounding region are home to St. Mary's Cathedral, Ross Castle, Muckross House and Abbey, Lakes of Killarney, Torc Waterfall and Gap of Dunloe.
Killarney was awarded the Best Kept Town award for 2007 in a cross-border competition jointly organised by the Department of the Environment and the Northern Ireland Amenity Council. Owing to its natural heritage, history and proximity to the Dingle Peninsula, Skellig Michael island and its location on the Ring of Kerry, Killarney is a popular tourist destination.
