The CORE Shopping Centre, Calgary Alberta
The Core Shopping Centre (styled as CORE), which consists of TD Square, the Holt Renfrew building, and the former Calgary Eaton Centre, is the dominant shopping complex located in the downtown core of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It spans three city blocks and contains approximately 160 retailers on four levels. The property also contains four major office towers (TD Canada Trust Tower, Home Oil Tower, Dome Tower) and the historic Lancaster Building. It is the hub of downtown Calgary’s +15 skywalk system, and as such is the busiest shopping centre in the City by pedestrian count, with around 250,000 visitors passing through each week. The centre's architectural focal point is a vast suspended glass skylight which spans the length of the complex.

Ottawa Vacation Travel Guide
Welcome to Ottawa, Ontario, where you’ll find charming old-world buildings surrounded by picturesque natural beauty.
The first stop on an Ottawa tour should be the Rideau Canal. This waterway cuts the city in half, and it provides places for boating and paddleboarding during the summer. Visiting in winter? Not a problem—you can go ice skating along the Rideau when it ices over. On the south side of the river, you can see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Parliament Hill. A few blocks to the north is the National Gallery of Canada, a stunning glass-and-granite building full of art from Canadian, European, and other North American artists.
You’ll be hungry after all this walking around, so head to ByWard Market. If you see beavertails, don’t worry; they’re a pastry, not part of an actual beaver—and they’re delicious. ByWard Market also has some of the best fresh produce you’ll ever taste, so stock up on fruits and vegetables while you’re there.
After sampling the fare at ByWard Market, cross the river to visit the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. This is where you can tour recreations of Old Canada: explore 1800s storefronts, wander into log cabins, and learn about the First Nations people who inhabited Canada for thousands of years prior to European settlement.
Round out your trip with a venture to Gatineau Park, where you can relax by the lake or take tea in the MacKenzie King estate.

Calgary's 8th Ave Cycle Track
What is it like to ride on Calgary's downtown bike network? Here's a short snippet of 8th Ave, which stretches for 12 blocks (about 2km, not including its 9 Ave extension), connecting across 3 north/south routes as well as continuing on the 9 Ave cycle track to the Bow and Elbow River trail systems.
The average high in Calgary from November through February is -0.5°C. The average high in Edmonton for the same period is -3.3°C. It snows an average of 51 days per year in Calgary, and an average of 52 days per year in Edmonton.
Calgary's cycle track network is open year-round and cleared of snow, just like trails.
City of Calgary services we use every day
When we moved to Calgary one year ago, it wasn’t really clear to us what The City of Calgary provides for the average citizen. They really make life better every day for people through services like City parks, streets and sidewalks, waste and recycling and so much more. In this video, I talk about some of my favourite things about Calgary and what matters most to me.
This video is sponsored by the City of Calgary.

So this is the only surviving video of our bus trip from Vancouver to Ottawa. My brother decided that we should meet him downtown Toronto but of course, we just ended up in a mess of traffic...
Why Are 96,000,000 Black Balls on This Reservoir?
I took a boat through 96 million black plastic balls on the Los Angeles reservoir to find out why they're there. The first time I heard about shade balls the claim was they reduce evaporation. But it turns out this isn't the reason they were introduced.
Huge thanks to LADWP for arranging this special tour for me. Next time let's put the GoPro on the submersible!
The balls are made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) which is less dense than water so they float on the surface of the reservoir even if they break apart. They are 10cm (4 inches) in diameter and contain about 210ml of water. So the main reason they are on the reservoir is to block sunlight from entering the water and triggering a chemical reaction that turns harmless bromide into carcinogenic bromate. This effect occurs with prolonged exposure to bromate so regulators insist that levels be kept below 10 microgram per liter on average over a 12 month period.
Special thanks to Patreon supporters:
Donal Botkin, Michael Krugman, Ron Neal, Stan Presolski, Terrance Shepherd, Penward Rhyme and everyone who provided feedback on an early draft of this video.
Thanks to:

FUN ROAD TRIP TO DANISH TOWN IN CANADA (Plus Outfits)-2018
Hey friends. Today's video is a vlog style! My husband and I went on a small road trip to this Danish inspired town here in Dickson AB Canada. It has a museum, garden and a yummy café! You can see a Viking ship replica, the little mermaid and much more! It was lots of fun visiting and we wanted to share some moments with you. It reminds me a lot of my home country Denmark, so I recommend it to anyone who wants a taste of Scandinavia! I also re-created three of my childhood outfits in ways you can wear now as an adult and I thought that was a unique and fun way to include a outfits look book :)
If you enjoyed watching please give me a THUMBS UP & SUBSCRIBE! Thanks for watching.
