Here's what I got up to while on the Isle of Wight -
We decided to travel to the Isle of Wight for the weekend using only sustainable transport. We set off from Chesterfield (the closest train station to our home) and then two trains, two tubes and a ferry later arrived on the Isle of Wight.
While we were on the Isle of Wight, we explored using the Island Line train, which is made up of old London tube carriages and starts at Ryde, before finishing in Shanklin – super cute!
We also went on a bike ride – I don’t think cycling is really for me! We cycled the Red Squirrel Trail which was a 20 mile loop. During the bike ride, my chain came off and I had to channel my 10 year old self to remember how to fix it. I emerged covered in oil but really proud of my achievement!
Our base for the Isle of Wight trip was the Inglewood Guest House at Sandown where Jon and Justine made us feel really welcome, and had a delicious cooked breakfast waiting for us each morning.
