Visit to the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra, Australia
The Royal Australian Mint is a money mint (opened 1965) situated in the Australian federal capital city of Canberra, in the suburb of Deakin. All new Australian circulating coins are minted at the Royal Australian Mint.
Before the opening of the Australian mint, Australian coins were struck at branches of the Royal Mint - the Sydney Mint, Melbourne Mint and Perth Mint. The Royal Australian Mint is the first mint in Australia not to be a branch of the Royal Mint in London. The only other operational mint in Australia is the Perth Mint.

During Easter break, we stopped by in Canberra on the way back to Sydney from Melbourne in our road trip, as well as to spend time together with our friends..
Canberra itself is the capital city of Australia. With a population of 410,301, it is Australia's largest inland city and the eighth-largest city overall.
The city is located at the northern end of the Australian Capital Territory, 280 km south-west of Sydney, and 660 km north-east of Melbourne.
During our stay, we visited War Memorial, Questacon, Royal Australian Mint and Parliament House. Kids were having so much fun at Questacon and we spent almost a day in there.
There was a particular memorable moment where I almost lost my car key when we finished and wanted to go back to the hotel. Luckily Questacon security team found it, but my heart was almost sink, given the possibility of driving back and forth to Sydney in order to get the spare key from home. A huge shout to them, without them my Canberra experience won't be as nice as now.
We definitely will be coming back to explore Canberra more with the kids. Hope you all enjoy the video and please leave a comment about your other experiences in Canberra. I'd love to hear them.
