Come and explore Bangladesh
Bangladesh is one of the few countries in South-East Asia that remains to be explored. It has a delicate and distinctive attraction of its own to offer and it is definitely not a tourist haunt like Nepal or India. It is like a painter's dream come true with a rich tapestry of colors and texture. The traditional emphasis of the tourist trade has always been on the material facilities offered by a country rather than on its actual charms. This may be a reason why Bangladesh has seldom been highlighted in the world's tourist maps.
In reality, Bangladesh is not entirely made up of dirty slums and starving children, as the world has been taught to perceive. It has many unique features to offer: The Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world and the natural habitat of the Royal Bengal Tiger; lush green landscapes interspersed by a network of vast rivers; the longest natural beach in the world; the history and culture of the land, possibly the most complex ethnic mixture in history; hospitable people - all these and many more will contribute richly to your experience as a tourist.
The facilities offered are really not as poor as often pictured by the media. We have many five star hotels in big cities, clean and comfortable accommodation in practically all towns on tourist traffic routes. A wide transportation network of air, rail, road and waterways connects all places conveniently. Being at the crossroads of South East Asian Traffic, Dhaka the capital, is easily accessible from any corner of the globe.
If you are planning a trip to India, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma, Thailand or Singapore, you can come and visit this beautiful country with very little extra effort or means. The following few facts and figures about Bangladesh might be of some use to you.
Come with us and discover the jewels of Bangladesh… we promise to share with you a rare and exceptional experience that will stay with you forever.

Bangladesh
Dhaka is the capital city of Bangladesh, in southern Asia. Set beside the Buriganga River, it’s at the center of national government, trade and culture. The 17th-century old city was the Mughal capital of Bengal, and many palaces and mosques remain. American architect Louis Khan’s National Parliament House complex typifies the huge, fast-growing modern metropolis.

Cambodia
Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s busy capital, sits at the junction of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers. It was a hub for both the Khmer Empire and French colonialists. On its walkable riverfront, lined with parks, restaurants and bars, are the ornate Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, displaying artifacts from around the country. At the city’s heart is the massive, art deco Central Market.

The Port of Dhaka is a major river port on the Buriganga River in Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh. The port is located in the southern part of the city. It is Bangladesh's busiest port in terms of passenger traffic. The port has services to most of the districts of Bangladesh. Along with Barisal, Chandpur and Narayanganj; the Dhaka port handled 53 million tonnes of cargo and 22 million passengers every year.
The Dhaka river port has a recorded existence since the Mughal Empire. The Mughal viceroy's fortress was built by the port in the 17th century. Dhaka's strategic riverine location in Bengal made it a hub for Eurasian traders, including Armenians, the Portuguese, French, Dutch and British. The city's riverbanks were dotted with mansions, bazaars and warehouses. The bustling old city was known as the Venice of the East. It was used for exports of cotton muslin, silk, jute, rice and other goods. During British rule, the riverfront hosted the offices of the Magistrate and Collector; and became the center of the colonial city. Bengali aristocrats built numerous palaces on the riverfront, including Ahsan Manzil and Ruplal House. The British developed ghats (wharfs), such as Wiseghat, Sadarghat and Northbrook Hall ghat. Paddle steamers were a common sight. The Viceroy of India often traveled by ship from Calcutta to Dhaka's riverside palaces for balls and parties.

Climate Refugee in Bangladesh…
Climate Refugee in Bangladesh…
Many villagers move to the nearby town to find a way of living, while their agricultural lands are flooded due to the monsoon/rain water. Some people shift to the mega cities permanently because they have lost last piece of land even the land of housing by the river erosion, heavy monsoon tide and so on. Less working opportunities over some specific months in many different areas of Bangladesh, pushes people to leave the village and look for a job in the city including Dhaka. Numbers of climate refugees has been increasing throughout the country, mostly from the southern and south- western coastal line. Younger male and female members of these climate refugee family mostly find an entry level jobs at the garment factories and many other places. The mid-aged, stronger, not having literacy and technical knowledge, finds their luck being basic level worker, a construction helping hands, boat man, rickshaw driver and loader & unloaders at various industries including truck/ bust/train stations, Bazar/marketplaces and some river port areas. This film shows man and women are working side by side to unload coal, sand and rocks from the ships in Dhaka.
