Tour of Copenhagen - Big Danish Lunch + Canal Boat Tour in Denmark!
????Copenhagen Street Food Tour:
????T-shirts and caps:
Thank you to Visit Copenhagen:
Bicycle Ride - In order to really blend in with Danish culture in Copenhagen, you need to go around the city by bicycle. So on day one of our visit to Copenhagen, we jumped into a bicycle cart, and rode over the park. #Copenhagen #Denmark
Frederiksberg Have - Copenhagen has lots of beautiful parks, and we strategically went to one called Frederiksberg Have because it wasn’t far from where we were staying, and there was a restaurant I really wanted to try in the area.
Hansens Gamle Familiehave ( - I love legendary classic restaurants, and Hansens Gamle Familiehave is about as historical and classic as Danish restaurants in Copenhagen get. I went straight for the Hansens lunch platter, which included two platters - first the cold appetizers like herring, and next the hot dishes like pork. Total bill for this huge Danish lunch platter - 718 DKK ($106.43)
Hey Captain ( - One of the attractions I was most interested in doing during my time in Copenhagen, was to take a boat Copenhagen Canal Tour. Thanks to Visit Copenhagen and Hey Captain, for taking me on this fantastic and luxurious canal boat tour of Copenhagen. The drinks made it even better. Amazing boat tour, highly recommended in Copenhagen.
Folkehuset Absalon ( - Finally for dinner we went o Folkehuset Absalon, a former church that has been opened as a community center coffee shop, and a family style restaurant at dinner. The place is packed every night, people come looking for a social dining atmosphere, sharing tables, and delicious home cooked styles Danish food. Food was delicious. Price - 100 DKK ($14.82)
And that wraps up this tour of Copenhagen, including Danish food and attractions!

Copenhagen[a] (Danish: København [kʰøpm̩ˈhaʊ̯ˀn]) is the capital and most populous city of Denmark. As of July 2018, the city had a population of 1,206,098 in Copenhagen Municipality, 103,914 in Frederiksberg Municipality, 43,005 in Tårnby Municipality, and 14,201 in Dragør Municipality. It forms the core of the wider urban area of Copenhagen (population 1,520,629) and the Copenhagen metropolitan area (population 2,557,737). Copenhagen is situated on the eastern coast of the island of Zealand; another small portion of the city is located on Amager, and it is separated from Malmö, Sweden, by the strait of Øresund. The Øresund Bridge connects the two cities by rail and road.
Originally a Viking fishing village established in the 10th century in the vicinity of what is now Gammel Strand, Copenhagen became the capital of Denmark in the early 15th century. Beginning in the 17th century it consolidated its position as a regional centre of power with its institutions, defences and armed forces. During the renaissance the city served as the de facto capital being the seat of government of the Kalmar Union , governing the entire present day Nordic region in a personal union with Sweden and Norway ruled by the Danish monarch serving as the head of state. The city flourished as the cultural and economic center of Scandinavia under the union for well over 120 years, starting in the 15th century up until the beginning of the 16th century when the union was dissolved with Sweden leaving the union through a rebellion. After a plague outbreak and fire in the 18th century, the city underwent a period of redevelopment. This included construction of the prestigious district of Frederiksstaden and founding of such cultural institutions as the Royal Theatre and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. After further disasters in the early 19th century when Horatio Nelson attacked the Dano-Norwegian fleet and bombarded the city, rebuilding during the Danish Golden Age brought a Neoclassical look to Copenhagen's architecture. Later, following the Second World War, the Finger Plan fostered the development of housing and businesses along the five urban railway routes stretching out from the city centre.
Since the turn of the 21st century, Copenhagen has seen strong urban and cultural development, facilitated by investment in its institutions and infrastructure. The city is the cultural, economic and governmental centre of Denmark; it is one of the major financial centres of Northern Europe with the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Copenhagen's economy has seen rapid developments in the service sector, especially through initiatives in information technology, pharmaceuticals and clean technology. Since the completion of the Øresund Bridge, Copenhagen has become increasingly integrated with the Swedish province of Scania and its largest city, Malmö, forming the Øresund Region. With a number of bridges connecting the various districts, the cityscape is characterised by parks, promenades and waterfronts. Copenhagen's landmarks such as Tivoli Gardens, The Little Mermaid statue, the Amalienborg and Christiansborg palaces, Rosenborg Castle Gardens, Frederik's Church, and many museums, restaurants and nightclubs are significant tourist attractions. The largest lake of Denmark, Arresø, lies around 27 miles (43 kilometers) northwest of the City Hall Square.
Copenhagen is home to the University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen Business School and the IT University of Copenhagen. The University of Copenhagen, founded in 1479, is the oldest university in Denmark. Copenhagen is home to the FC København and Brøndby football clubs. The annual Copenhagen Marathon was established in 1980. Copenhagen is one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the world.
The Copenhagen Metro launched in 2002 serves central Copenhagen. Additionally the Copenhagen S-train, the Lokaltog (private railway) and the Coast Line network serves and connects central Copenhagen to outlying boroughs. Serving roughly two million passengers a month, Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, is the busiest airport in the Nordic countries.

Copenhagen ITS 2018 project presentation
Bicyles are an important means of transport in Copenhagen. As many as 45% of the population goes to work or study by bike on a daily basis. In the Danish capital the total amount of cycled kilometers per day is as high as 1.2 million.
To measure and approve the flow and safety of all these cyclists, Technolution and ViNotion had installed twenty cameras with real-time analysis using ViSense UrbanDynamics.
The traffic data measured by the ViSense Systems are integrated into the Mobi Maestro traffic management system and used for continuous adjustment of to the traffic lights. Controlling the traffic lights in real-time generates a dynamic wave for cyclists, improving the traffic flow.
copenhagen denmark 48 hours itinerary
Best places in see in Copenhagen in 48hours? watch this short clip for the top ideas to make your life easy. The currency is Kroner and not Euro's. Tour with us the best tourist attractions which are all easy to walk too.
This video is about amazing places to see for first time visitors to this Scandinavian city. This is a beautiful compact city and everyone cycles. Bikes can be hired very easily and the roads have purpose built wide cycle lanes. It is also very easy to reach the city centre by metro direct from the airport. It takes 20 mins and the trains all have announcements and maps inside the train carriages. Just about everyone speaks English.
We spent 48 hrs here in February and it was pretty cold. Everyone still sits outside and gets a blanket and outdoor heaters are switched on.
Our tourist top sights included the amazing Amelionborg Palace, in the heart of the city. The Black Diamond Library, beside the water. Visit Nyhavn, one of the oldest parts of the city and home to Hans Christian Anderson. He lived in 3 of the houses in this street.
(famous author of children books)
Take a Canal tour, Visit the royal Theatre, The Little Mermaid, the botanical Gardens and the Danish Design Centre.
Oh yes and not forgetting the Carlsberg Brewery, The National Museum and the Kronberg Castle
Copenhagen is a small city, you can walk around quite safely, take the hop on bus if time is limited.
Taxi are easy to find, and the cafe and food are delicious. It is very expensive.
if you like my video the photo are available to buy from shutter stock on this link.
