The timing of the Kolkata Race Course is from 11:59 am – 11:59 pm every day.
Races are conducted during November-March & July-September on Saturdays and public holidays and Every Tuesday race is held in Kolkata also.
You can see the race even if you are not a club member. In that case, you will have to enter the stadium by buying tickets for Indian Rupees 20 & if you want to take a picture, you have to pay Indian Rupees 250 per phone. In that case, they will put a yellow band in your hand.
The history of the old days is spread here. If you want to play races, you can bet on your favorite horse by going to the counter. In that case, you get the computerized bill.

Royal Calcutta Turf Club:-
The Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC), founded in 1847 in Calcutta, British India (now Kolkata, India), became the premier horse racing organization in India during the British Raj. At one time it was the governing body for almost all courses in the sub-continent, defining and applying the rules that governed the sport. During its heyday the races it organized were among the most important social events of the calendar, opened by the Viceroy of India. During the 1930s the Calcutta Derby Sweeps, organized by the club, was the largest sweepstake in the world. It is still an exclusive private club and still operates the Kolkata Race Course.

With nothing exciting to do on a Kolkata Saturday morning, we walked over to the Royal Calcutta Race Track for something different. Races are not run every day during their winter season. Look in the daily newspaper to see if one is taking place.
With admission only 10 Rupees (less than .25 cents U.S.), it was a great day at this historic track built in 1820 and made us feel a part of British Raj history with the majestic Victoria Monument in the background.

Victory Day) is commemorated every 16 December in India, as it marks its military victory over Pakistan in 1971 during the war for the independence of Bangladesh from Pakistan. The end of the war also resulted in the unilateral and unconditional surrender of the Pakistan Army and subsequent secession of East Pakistan into Bangladesh. On this day in 1971, the chief of the Pakistani forces, General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi, along with 93,000 troops, surrendered to the allied forces consists of Indian Army and Mukti Bahini, led by General Jagjit Singh Aurora, of India in the Ramna Race Course, now Suhrawardy Udyan, in Dhaka after their defeat in the war. The anniversary of Vijay Divas is observed across India by paying tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation. In the nation's capital New Delhi, the Indian Minister of Defence and heads of all three wings of the Indian armed forces pay homage at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate in New Delhi as well as in the National Military Memorial, Bangalore.
On 16 December every year, Citizens, senior officials, students & war veterans lay wreaths and remember the sacrifices of the soldiers. Member of Parliament Mr. Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who has continued to support the ex servicemen and the armed forces and pursued One Rank One Pension, says, Don't let down our heroes, as we commemorate Vijay Diwas.
