The Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen
The Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen. Det Kongelige Teater is both the national Danish performing arts institution and a name used to refer to its old purpose-built venue from 1874 located on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen. The theatre was founded in 1748,
first serving as the theatre of the king, and then as the theatre of the country. The theatre presents opera, the Royal Danish Ballet, classical music concerts (by the Royal Danish Orchestra, which dates back to 1448), and drama in several locations.

Tomorrow, In a year - A Darwin opera, Royal Danish Theatre, Old Stage, Copenhagen Denmark 2009-09-05
Epochs and Height Of Summer.
The Knife have been commissioned to write an opera about evolution in honour of the 150th anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwins On the Origin of the Species. The opera presents an image of Darwin that above all reminds us that the world is a place of remarkable similarities and amazing diversity. That over time - tomorrow, in a year, or tomorrow, in a million years - change is inevitable.
