The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM, French: Musée royal de l'Ontario) is a museum of art, world culture and natural history in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is one of the largest museums in North America, and the largest in Canada. It attracts more than one million visitors every year, making the ROM the most visited museum in Canada.[1] The museum is north of Queen's Park, in the University of Toronto district, with its main entrance on Bloor Street West. The Museum subway station of the Toronto Transit Commission is named after the ROM, and since 2008, it is decorated to resemble the institution's collection.
With more than six million items and forty galleries, the museum's diverse collections of world culture and natural history contribute to its international reputation.[5] The museum contains notable collections of dinosaurs, minerals and meteorites, Near Eastern and African art, Art of East Asia, European history, and Canadian history. It houses the world's largest collection of fossils from the Burgess Shale with more than 150,000 specimens.[6]The museum also contains an extensive collection of design and fine arts, including clothing, interior, and product design, especially Art Deco.

Looking for more things to do in Toronto? We headed into Toronto again, with a plan of what we wanted to do and see but ended up just heading to the Royal Ontario Museum (The Rom). We spent the day exploring one of the biggest museums in North America. We travelled through time from ancient Egypt to ancient Rome, we even ended up in prehistoric times where we had a chance to hang out with dinosaur bones that to us, at that moment, seemed bigger than life.
We grew up in Toronto and as children we would take trips to the ROM with school or our parents and it has a special place in our hearts and memories. We believe that the Royal Ontario Museum is one of the best things to do in Toronto if you live here or are only visiting.

Time for another travel vlog series, but this time we decided to stay a little closer to home - Toronto, Ontario, Canada!! Toronto is such a beautiful city with so much history, and it's easy to see all of the different cultures that shaped what the city has become today. For our first day in the city, we visited the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) and you can literally spend an entire day there!!
