We caught a small train from Kampot to Phnom Penh | The Sihanoukville Train (Cambodia Ep 3)
The Sihanoukville Train runs from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville, on Cambodia's south coast, three times a week. It is pretty much a tourist train, and we were stunned when a single self powered carriage turned up to meet us at the Kampot station. It was a much better way to get between Kampot and Phnom Penh than the minivan, and we enjoyed the scenery, and that despite it departed Kampot late, it arrived in Phnom Penh on time.

Cambodian Rail from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville ????????
We travel on the Cambodian Royal Railway from Phnom Penh to the beachside city of Sihanoukville. We have beers on the beach at the Angkor Beach Bar and Josh takes us through how he had to break back into his room after loosing his key.

【カンボジアの鉄道】 シアヌークビル～プノンペン 乗車記 Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh, Royal Railways of Cambodia (2019.6)
カンボジアの鉄道（ロイヤルレイルウェイズ）南線、シアヌークビルからプノンペンまでの乗車記です。
シアヌークビル～プノンペン間は263km、週に4往復の旅客列車が運行されていて所要時間は約7時間で運賃はUS$8。
車両は2018年に導入されたばかりのメキシコ製の新型車、AS1000型気動車。
朝7時にシアヌークビルを発車、途中カンポットとタケオに停車して終点プノンペンに向かいます。
0:00～ シアヌークビル駅
工事現場のような殺風景な駅です。
0:32～ 申し訳程度の売店もあります。
0:37～ 列車は新型車だけにきれいでシートもなかなか快適ですが、高い車高に乗るのに長い階段を上る必要があり、バリアフリーの概念などなさそう。
1:36～ 7時、シアヌークビル駅をほぼ定刻で発車。
7:56～ 9時前、カンポット駅着。定刻は8:40なので若干遅れている。
ここで10分ほど停車。乗客たちは駅舎の売店で買い物。
9:45～ タケオ駅着。ここでも10分ほど停車。
10:18～ 11時頃タケオ駅発車。
時刻表では11:50発となっているので50分近い早発ですが、時刻変更しているのか、それともダイヤがアバウトなのか。
13:59～ プノンペン近郊の待避線で対向列車と交換。
20:07～ 13時頃、終点プノンペン駅到着。
時刻表では14時着となっているので1時間近くも早く着きました。

Taking the newly opened railway form Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh. Ticket costs $7 for the 7 hour journey, and if you want to take you car, just load it onto the flat-wagon for an extra $40!
