Phnom Penh International Airport to Central Train Station by train is the new way to travel. The price of a one-way ticket costs only $2.50 per person. The service starts at 05.30 from Phnom Penh, and takes around 30 minutes or so. There is only one train and one track! This new service saves you around $7 or more, and it's all hassle free. The train journey, which depends on traffic, cars,people on the tracks, and not forgetting the amount of near misses, will slowly make its way though some cool scenery, including villages and plenty of local people. AIRPORT FOOD: Make sure you try the new open restaurant next to the Royal Train waiting room. The prices are amazing and there is plenty of seating. There are plenty of other restaurants to choose from located in the airport, but the prices are inflated.You just can't beat Khmer food at affordable prices.
MUSLIM FAITH: If you are looking for halal food, look no further.There is one restaurant which serves tasty food. Don't forget that to the left of the Royal Train waiting room is a mosque where you can pray.
TOILETS: Right next to the Royal Train waiting room. It's on the left.
If the train is not for you, then there are three transportation options to choose from: taxi, tuk tuk, and moto. A tuk tuk to Central Market costs around $7; a taxi ( I took GRAB) around $8; and a moto around $3. Bargain hard and get to where you're going!
PHNOM PENH TO SIHANOUVILLE: Royal Railways also operates regular trains to Sihanouville. This service has different departure times and can take 5 hours of even more. Check below for more details online.

We caught a small train from Kampot to Phnom Penh | The Sihanoukville Train (Cambodia Ep 3)
The Sihanoukville Train runs from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville, on Cambodia's south coast, three times a week. It is pretty much a tourist train, and we were stunned when a single self powered carriage turned up to meet us at the Kampot station. It was a much better way to get between Kampot and Phnom Penh than the minivan, and we enjoyed the scenery, and that despite it departed Kampot late, it arrived in Phnom Penh on time.

May I say hi to all youtube video lovers. This is my video clip showing you the Train - the Fastest, shortest one in the city of Cambodia; Phnom Penh.
As I've already described some information in subtitle of this video that the train is about 15m to 20m long and could be loaded 50 passengers.
RUNNING SCHEDULE:
Running Schedule is not fixed. The train leave the station in every 5 minutes and take around 30minutes to reach the destination.

It is now possible to take a train from Central Train Station to Phnom Penh Airport. The price of a one-way ticket costs $2.50. The service starts at 05.30 from Phnom Penh, and takes around 30 minutes or so. There is only one train and one track! The 30 minute journey, which depends on traffic,cars,people on the tracks - and the amount of near misses -, will slowly make its way though some cool scenery, including villages and plenty of local people.If the train is not for you, then there are three transportation options to choose from: taxi, tuk tuk, and moto. A tuk tuk to Central Market costs around $7; a taxi around $12; and a moto around $3. Bargain hard and get to where you're going!
*Please note that as of November 2018, the station is being renovated but is still in use.Will keep updating as time goes by.

FREE TRAIN FROM PHNOM PENH TO POIPET - This is only for the intrepid traveller who fully understands that sitting in a train for around 15 hours isn't a joke! This service will continue till the end of December 2018. The train departs Phnom Penh every second day at 06.30 and arrives in Poipet at 21.30. If you're coming from Poipet to Phnom Penh, the schedule is the same: every second day, and also leaves at 06.30 in the morning.

Cambodian Train Vlog Kampot to Phnom Penh
I believe that Cambodian domestic train service had been absent for more than 10 years, maybe like 15 years. The train service has been open since last year. I finally had a chance to try it.
I bought my ticket in Phnom Penh railway station before I went to Kampot. However you can buy the ticket on the day, if it’s not too busy. It costed me 7US$.
The train was very modern and clean with air-conditions. My train was late. Total 5 hours to get to Phnom Penh including stoop at Takeo station for short time (like 5 or 10 min)
Note: There is not train everyday, mainly weekend. You should research train days and dates, if you want to try.

【カンボジアの鉄道】 シアヌークビル～プノンペン 乗車記 Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh, Royal Railways of Cambodia (2019.6)
カンボジアの鉄道（ロイヤルレイルウェイズ）南線、シアヌークビルからプノンペンまでの乗車記です。
シアヌークビル～プノンペン間は263km、週に4往復の旅客列車が運行されていて所要時間は約7時間で運賃はUS$8。
車両は2018年に導入されたばかりのメキシコ製の新型車、AS1000型気動車。
朝7時にシアヌークビルを発車、途中カンポットとタケオに停車して終点プノンペンに向かいます。
0:00～ シアヌークビル駅
工事現場のような殺風景な駅です。
0:32～ 申し訳程度の売店もあります。
0:37～ 列車は新型車だけにきれいでシートもなかなか快適ですが、高い車高に乗るのに長い階段を上る必要があり、バリアフリーの概念などなさそう。
1:36～ 7時、シアヌークビル駅をほぼ定刻で発車。
7:56～ 9時前、カンポット駅着。定刻は8:40なので若干遅れている。
ここで10分ほど停車。乗客たちは駅舎の売店で買い物。
9:45～ タケオ駅着。ここでも10分ほど停車。
10:18～ 11時頃タケオ駅発車。
時刻表では11:50発となっているので50分近い早発ですが、時刻変更しているのか、それともダイヤがアバウトなのか。
13:59～ プノンペン近郊の待避線で対向列車と交換。
20:07～ 13時頃、終点プノンペン駅到着。
時刻表では14時着となっているので1時間近くも早く着きました。

カンボジア プノンペンの中心部に立地するプノンペン駅、現地警察の許可を得て敷地中に入りました。
カンボジア国鉄の線路は著しく荒廃し、何年も前から営業を完全に停止していたようでしたが、撮影したこの日は黄色い中国製と思われる機関車一両がやってきて、数人を降ろして直ぐに折り返し発車していきました。
シアヌークビルからプノンペン間は完全に新しい線路が引き直され、貨物列車び運行が再開したようです。
バッタンバン、ポイペト方面も線路の引き直しも行われているようで、旅客列車が運行を開始する日も近いのかもしれません。
中国→ベトナム→カンボジア→タイ→マレーシア→シンガポールという超広大な鉄道計画があるようです。

The process of building the station was hampered by the rainy season. A considerable advance was thus taken during the first year and, in 1931, the Company concentrated all her effort on the one hand on the Phnom Penh train station, including embankments, buildings and facilities, which are of an exceptional importance, and secondly on ballast supplies. Meanwhile, nature, so often hostile in Cambodia, became the main auxiliary against the engineers by packing embankments and consolidating them with vegetation. Good weather having returned, work actively resumed with the rehabilitation of the embankments and the levelling of the platform. [1]
The station was built in 1932 from reinforced concrete[2] to service the railway to Battambang.
